00:00This is a dog with a hat and it's a cryptocurrency, so I'm representing this is an Andre Soriano
00:07gown and he's a gay Filipino immigrant and he created this dress during the inaugural
00:12event.
00:13We went, you know, we said we're going to do another Grammys event and the hat stays
00:17on because they tried to get rid of Trump.
00:19He's still alive.
00:20He's elected.
00:21He's flourishing.
00:22We're going to be flourishing together and no one's going to take the hat.
00:26Why the hat at the Grammys though?
00:28Just because I knew they were going to hate on me for being MAGA, for being a supporter
00:32of Trump, for being a musician and an artist who loves freedom.
00:36So I said, you know, this is like an offensive symbol in Hollywood and you know me, I don't
00:40shy away from offensive things.
00:44So you don't mind offending people or is it more for discussion and get getting people
00:48to talk?
00:49It's definitely more for discussion.
00:50I want people to talk about it.
00:52You know, I'm, I've been talking about this for eight years now and I think it's something
00:56that people go, okay, well let's look at Trump.
00:59What are his policies doing?
01:00And it's more about being an artist and talking about freedom and saying, okay, how does it
01:03affect you?
01:04Because at the end of the day, the president is not God.
01:07It doesn't matter who's a politician in the White House.
01:10Normal people are going to have to be able to pay for groceries, going to have to be
01:13able to live their life, create, you know, take care of their families.
01:17Do you think there is an over promise?
01:18Because he said on day one, grocery prices come down, egg prices come down.
01:23They haven't.
01:24He's got a tough battle ahead of him because I don't know if he can bring those prices
01:27down.
01:28I mean, during the Biden, you know, inflation, when it's high, it's very hard to bring it
01:31back down.
01:32But if he can cut a lot of the red tape for more companies to be able to lower their prices,
01:38small business to be able to lower their prices, then we can do it.
01:41But in the meantime, invest in crypto, invest in yourself and know that Jesus Christ is
01:45Lord.
01:48What do you say to people who do come up to you and they are offended by the hat and they
01:53voice their opinions?
01:54What do you say?
01:55I just say hi.
01:56That's okay.
01:58What's your name?
01:59You know, I'm not here to be like a red carpet troll.
02:02It's more it is red carpet activism.
02:04And I get that it's going to offend people.
02:06But I'd rather, like you said, initiate conversation because it's fun.
02:10Like, let's let's not take ourselves seriously on the left or the right.
02:13We're all artists.
02:14We're here for music.
02:15I'm a musician.
02:16You know, I get it.
02:17Not to take us seriously.
02:19But what do you say to the immigrant community?
02:21People who are scared?
02:22Well, my family's part of the immigrant community.
02:25You know, I'm Latina.
02:26My grandparents came here legally.
02:29An immigrant made this dress.
02:30Immigrants make America great.
02:32But it's legal immigration.
02:34You know, it's a very hard process for people to come here legally.
02:37And it's tough.
02:38So those people should be lifted up, not illegal immigrants who try to jump the line and who
02:43do violent crimes.
02:44Yes.
02:45Send them back.
02:46Violent crime.
02:47But what about people who are coming here?
02:48They want a better life, like our ancestors have come.
02:51They should do it legally, like my ancestors did, like probably your ancestors did.
02:56You know, Ellis Island was tough.
02:59Or coming on those slave ships.
03:01That was tough.
03:02You know what I mean?
03:03It's like people came to this country for a better life, whether they wanted to or they
03:06didn't.
03:07But the immigrants who are immigrating here to make this place better, like that's our
03:10families.
03:12They should be allowed to stay.
03:13But guess what?
03:14Illegal immigrants hurt legal immigrants.
03:16So it's not nice.
03:17It's not pretty.
03:18I get it.
03:19People like to say, oh, it's heartless.
03:20But it's actually the most kind thing you can do is to protect the communities that
03:24are here legally.
03:26What do you say about separation of families when children are crying because their mom
03:31is being deported?
03:32Yeah, it's not a great thing.
03:33I mean, it started under Obama.
03:35I don't think any politician has done a good job with that.
03:38I think it should be like a path to citizenship.
03:40I mean, the conservatives don't like me for saying that, but I say, well, if you've been
03:44here and you haven't committed any crimes, you've got a family here.
03:47Give them an easy path to citizenship somehow.
03:51Give them three months, six months, a year.
03:55That doesn't sound like MAGA.
03:56Well, a lot of MAGA people do think that.
03:58And I think Trump, this time around, is going to listen to them.
04:01You know, he's got some people of color that are, it's not just their color, but their
04:04mindset.
04:05And I think he's softened, too.
04:06He's a praying man.
04:08So I'm hoping that he has seen this term, this is his last term, it's his final term,
04:13that he can make something great for all Americans.
04:15And I do believe that's his mindset.
