00:00Mahathir Rais said he will join another party as a political struggle after announcing the exit of Bersatu earlier last month.

00:10The former member of the Bersatu Association said the party that will join him has nothing to do with Bersatu and the announcement will be made when the time comes.

00:21He said he did not want to be associated with Bersatu at all and was more inclined to support the government's efforts to rebuild the country.

00:29On January 11, Mahathir resigned from his position as a loyal member of the Bersatu Association and the National Association of the Republic of Indonesia.

00:38In a letter sent to the chairman of the Bersatu Association and PM of the Republic of Indonesia, Razi Jidin.

00:44He is also a former member of the party, but did not say why he did so.

00:49However, in a message to the FMT, Mahathir said that the struggle has not been in vain because of his actions.

00:57He previously criticized the meeting at the IPAS chairman's office to support Najib Razak on January 6.

01:04He said it reflects the PM's willingness to compromise with his principles for political interests.
