Did you know that the Groot we see in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is actually the son of the Groot who sacrificed himself in the first film? However, there is a theory that suggests they are the same Groot, and that he simply created a new body, like a sort of reincarnation, similar to the phoenix. The most interesting part is that the Groot species becomes more powerful as it interacts with entities around it. We can observe Groot's evolution throughout the films: Baby Groot with the Guardians, Teenage Groot with Thor and the Avengers, and Groot alongside Adam Warlock.
