Celebrations in Gaza as freed prisoners return

With three Israeli hostages released on Saturday, 183 Palestinian prisoners held in Israel have been released. 00:00Yes, actually, what's going on here on the ground is that the truce deal seems to be

00:06going smooth as three more Israeli hostages have been released already, freed already

00:14and handed over to the Israeli side.

00:18On the other hand, 100, more than 130 Palestinian prisoners have been released from the Israeli

00:25by the Israeli side.

00:27And this has created one more sort, more relief for the population here, for the families

00:33of the prisoners themselves who have been jailed by Israel for many years now.

00:40And actually, what I can say that there is another move within the ceasefire or the truce

00:46deal, which is that the travel of more of the first batch of Palestinian patients who

00:52have been long waiting for going outside of Gaza for medical attention, like what

00:58happened today, earlier today at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, which is damaged by

01:03the war, that the boss took these patients along with their family members, escorts to

01:11the Egyptian side of the border, en route to Egypt or other destinations like United

01:17Arab of Emirates and Turkey.

01:20This number is among the 12,000 Palestinian patients who have been waiting in the waiting

01:26list to come to cross for treatment outside of the territory, as the health system in

01:33Gaza is almost ruined.

01:37There is no real health system in the territory.

01:40More than 30 Gaza hospitals have been destroyed and demolished or affected by the Israeli

01:47war on the Gaza Strip for the past 15 months.

01:51And this situation of a truce is something that could be described as ideal for the population

01:59to revive and to re-thrive and to re-return to their normal lives, even amidst the white

02:08spirit destruction in Gaza City, northern Gaza Strip.

02:12There is a white spirit destruction and many people who have returned, many or I think

02:18majority, it is said that majority of those people who have returned recently from the

02:24south of displacement, southern region, southern Gaza to northern Gaza City have found, hundreds

02:30of thousands of them have found their homes demolished either completely or partially

02:37because of the Israeli army actions across those areas over the past period of time.

02:46This is a good time for the Palestinians, there is calm in the territory and the people

02:54here believe and just look forward to the time, to the point that they will be rejoicing

03:01with their lives and the war will come to an end once and for all.
