00:00Aviation sector, one of the big demands of the industry is that aircraft financing should
00:05be available from the banks and NBFCs in India.
00:09I've been in this industry, aviation industry, from 18 years, looking after leasing financing.
00:16I've been an airport director, I've been with a bank, and I'm currently CEO in an aircraft
00:21leasing company called Modair Aviation.
00:24So one of the things is that aircraft financing kind of could be included as an infrastructure
00:29financing so that the banks and NBFCs in India can do aircraft financing.
00:35There is an order book of more than 1,000 aircraft coming up with the airlines in India
00:39in the next few years, from Boeing, Airbus and ATR, and I believe that this needs a lot
00:45of support.
00:47The government has been keen on supporting this sector, and they are coming out with
00:51the Cape Town Convention bill in this parliament session.
00:54In the last few days, the indications are quite clear that the government is quite keen
00:59to invest significantly in the infraspace.
01:03Logistics and warehousing within infra is a lead which then supports all the growth
01:07of the supporting industries.
01:09So it's very important that in today's budget we think and discuss something about what
01:15kind of fiscal incentives is government planning to give to warehousing specifically, both
01:21related to any kind of capital subsidies as well as any kind of tax breaks.
01:25Also, clarity on what's happening on multi-modal logistics parks and how the government is
01:30trying to maybe expand its footprint beyond what success has been achieved in the last
01:35two, three years will be good to see.
01:37And in addition to that, clarity on standardization of what can be done, both on the rolling stock
01:42as well as the infraspace, in terms of how the government is supporting the ancillary
01:47industries which provide infrastructure inside the warehouses, which provide support to transport
01:53both rail and road, would be good to see.
01:56So very, very positive.
01:58I think the sounds which we have been hearing in the last six, eight weeks have been quite
02:02positive.
02:03So very keen to understand what the finance minister comes in with.
