00:00let me run through these here for you. Brown, Siakam, Garland, Cunningham, Mobley, Lillard,
00:05Hero in the east and in the west, Wemby made it. So did Anthony Edwards, Davis, Harden is back on
00:12it, Jaron Jackson, Sangin, Jalen Williams. They got to put more than one player from Oklahoma
00:17City on there. So, you know, on social media, Ball is the one name that's, you know, certainly
00:23out there as the huge snub. And I see all these comparisons for this guy, for that guy. If Gilbert,
00:28if everyone is so interested, who got snubbed and who didn't make these teams and why isn't
00:32anybody watching these games? That's what I want to know that people just want to argue about
00:35things, I guess. That's a great question. And it's funny. They kind of the built-in excuse,
00:39Craig, right? Like I'm not watching it because this guy got snubbed. It's really interesting
00:43how that revolving door works, but the mellow ball is certainly an interesting case because
00:47the fans wanted him in the game and the media and the coaches didn't. So he didn't get voted
00:51into the all-star game. And I'm sure people will cite the Hornet success or lack thereof as the
00:55reason we won't see the mellow ball in the all-star game. The other big snub is Trey Young,
00:59who is leading the NBA in assists and has again been snubbed from the NBA all-star game. DeMonta
01:05Sabon is leading the league in rebounds per game. So very strange to say that, you know,
01:10at this mid-year checkpoint or the unofficial mid-year checkpoint, two statistical leaders
01:14aren't going to be playing among the 24 or 32 best players in the NBA because there is a different
01:21all-star format this year. But again, when you have rosters of 12 and so much star power and
01:25everybody's not going to be happy, that's just not what's going to happen.
01:28Yeah. And on top of it, I think you do at some point in this league, given the fact that the
01:33game has lost so much popularity, if you're going to reward things that have happened in the first
01:38half plus of the season, you have to put two players from Cleveland in the all-star game.
01:44In addition to SGA, you have to put Jalen Williams in the all-star game. I mean, these teams have
01:49had the best starts in the history of their franchise and you can't just not acknowledge
01:54that at the halfway point of the season. So for me, yes. I mean, there's a player or two that's,
01:58you know, certainly not going to make it. We're not going to be happy about it.
02:01But in the end, Gilbert, if we're not acknowledging at this point of the season,
02:06how great Oklahoma City and Cleveland have been, what are we doing?
02:10Yeah, absolutely. And I have no issue with the Cavs guys getting in. I think that it's been a
02:14great year for Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell, right? So it's warranted for
02:19them to have those guys in the all-star game. And I always say, if you think somebody's a snub,
02:23who should they replace? And I understand there's a case maybe against Damian Lillard,
02:26maybe a case against Jalen Williams for OKC. But like you said, they've had such a great start to
02:30the season. I think that's huge. And Tyler Hero, Jalen Brown, other guys, the people who have kind
02:35of spoken out about as well. But I think Tyler Hero has kind of been a lone constant for the
02:39Heat through a season that's otherwise been pretty much as bad as possible. So he deserves a little
02:44bit of just due for keeping that team in the top six, everything they're dealing with. But
02:48all in all, I'll watch it. We'll see how it turns out.
