00:16In the briefing that was conducted by COMELEC to the various groups that they can count on in the May 12 elections,

00:22the commission stated that almost 5 million balotas have been printed since Monday.

00:29Almost 1 million balotas will be printed every day.

00:33But yesterday, they were able to print 1.6 million balotas in just one day.

00:39If it was 1.6 yesterday, hopefully now, even if it's 1.7 or 1.8, it doesn't matter.

00:45COMELEC's deadline for printing 72 million balotas is April 14.

00:51The target is to print 1.5 million balotas every day.

00:56If this continues, by mid-March, the printing will be finished.

01:01But it's not that easy because the printing machines also need to rest.

01:06And each balota also needs to pass a verification to confirm if it's a good balot.

01:13Along with printing balotas, COMELEC is also training election workers.

01:19Including the 7,000 police officers who can serve as electoral board members in dangerous places.

01:26More than 186,000 teachers will also be trained in March as electoral board members.

01:33According to COMELEC, 2,000 pesos will be added to the salary of the teachers who will serve in the election.

01:39That's why 12,000 pesos will be received by the chairman of the electoral board,

01:4411,000 pesos by the vice chairman, and 10,000 pesos by the poll clerk.
