Syria's newly appointed interim president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, has pledged to hold a national dialogue conference in his first speech since taking power on Wednesday. He says the dialogue would be used to draft Syria's future constitution, after the fall of former leader Bashar al-Assad left a power vacuum in the country.
