Three Israeli citizens and five Thai nationals were released by Hamas as part of a ceasefire agreement, bringing the total number of freed hostages to 15. The exchange took place in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, amid tense and chaotic scenes. In return, Israel released 110 Palestinian prisoners. Delays in the process were caused by concerns over the treatment of hostages during the handover, but mediation efforts allowed the exchange to proceed. While the release marks progress in ceasefire negotiations, 82 hostages remain in Hamas’ custody, and tensions in the region continue to run high.
