00:09according to the Fire Chief of the District of Columbia.

00:12Witnesses are J.P. Soriano.

00:17An airplane and Black Hawk helicopter of the U.S. Army crashed in the Himpapawid.

00:23It was captured by the observation camera of the Kennedy Center.

00:27The airplane was about to land at Ronald Reagan National Airport in America.

00:31The air traffic control audio recorded the moments before and after the crash.

00:39Did you see that?

00:39Then, the air traffic controller immediately avoided the other aircraft.

00:44I don't know if you caught earlier what happened but there was a collision on the approach on the 33.

00:51We're going to be shutting down operations for the indefinite future.

00:54We witnessed the whole thing.

00:56Two aircraft fell in the Potomac River

00:59causing a search and rescue operation.

01:03According to American Airlines,

01:0560 passengers and 4 crew members were on board the airplane.

01:09Some of them were figure skaters from America

01:13and two former world champions from Russia.

01:16Three soldiers were on board the helicopter according to a U.S. official.

01:21The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating

01:24while stopping all landings and takeoffs in the area.

01:30All we can confirm tonight is the number of people on each aircraft

01:35when we can't provide any more information about recovery efforts.

01:39The focus now is rescuing people

01:43and that's what all of our personnel are focused on.

01:46The route of the airplane was seen in this flight tracking data

01:50before it lost its signal as it flew over the Potomac River.

01:55The accident was reported to U.S. President Donald Trump

01:59who thanked the first responders.

02:02In a separate post, Trump said that he hoped the accident would be avoided.

02:07The Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. also pointed out the incident.

02:12They have yet to receive a report that a Filipino was involved.
