00:00The Department of Trade and Industry praised their achievements in 2024, as well as their plans for this year.

00:08Among their accomplishments is the 20% increase in foreign investments,

00:13tighter protection on the price of primary goods,

00:17and strengthening MSME development to help small business owners.

00:23In the program Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, DTI Secretary Christina Roque said

00:28that 2025 will be more aggressive in international trade,

00:34especially in roadshows to encourage global investors.

00:38They also strengthened the Create More Program

00:41for better incentives in business and to expand e-commerce for faster transactions.

00:49DTI will also focus on the creative industry and will continue to help the Department of Agriculture

00:56to lower the price of rice.

00:58Following the order, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

01:03For the international trade, we'll be aggressively having roadshows now

01:08to really push the country as a great place to invest.

01:12Actually, the programs for international and foreign investors are really good.

01:19Every time I meet with them, they really want to invest in the Philippines.

01:23There's a lot of meetings set by them more than set by us.

01:28So it's something that we really need to push on an aggressive basis.

01:31So that's one thing we'll push.

01:33And also, we will now push the Create More,

01:36which is the best incentive scheme, I must say, of this BBM administration.

01:42Every time I go abroad and I give talks of this Create More,

01:47it's really something that they're waiting for.

01:51Actually, the Japanese have been waiting for this also.

01:54So we really expect a lot of investors coming in.
