00:00Hello, Mr. Wallacher. Where's your whistle?
00:02Yeah, exactly. You're the first person to ask me, actually.
00:05I was going to bring one for you, and then I thought, I'm loud enough,
00:08they'll probably throw me off the carpet. The pink carpet!
00:11Listen, how does it feel? We're at the world premiere.
00:13How does it feel to be here on the pink carpet, celebrating our Bridget?
00:17Yeah, absolutely amazing. It's a wonderful night.
00:20And I'm very, very, very excited for people to see the film
00:24and to engage with this little world that we've been creating
00:29and this new chapter, after all these other amazing chapters
00:34over 20-something years of Bridget and what she's brought.
00:38It's such an iconic franchise. How do you feel when they ask you
00:42to get involved in it, and can you keep your cool when you're on set?
00:45It's really intimidating, actually. That first day, it doesn't matter
00:49how many other things you've done. It's surprising how you're walking
00:52onto a Bridget Jones set for the first time, and you're like,
00:55Oh, right, okay. How's this going to go?
00:58And then, you know, Renee is amazing and so welcoming and engaging.
01:03And then, actually, this character, I just had a really fun time playing,
01:07playing Wallachia, and I just thought he had such really great sort of depth
01:12and his subtext and how he looks at the world and how he changes
01:17in the film as well. All of it, I thought was great.
01:20He's quite a serious guy. Was it nice when he starts to loosen up a little bit?
01:24Yeah, it takes him a bit of time, but he gets there.
01:27He gets rid of the whistle.
01:28He does. The whistle is left, you know, to the side at a certain point.
01:33But, yeah, he's very, very fun, and that warmth that he does have,
01:37you know, I thought was really great.
01:39Do you think that's a testament to Bridget and what she brings out in people?
01:43Yeah, but also, he does have, she sees that part of him as well,
01:47and him with her kids and, you know, he's an educator and he has this way
01:53of wanting to bring out of, you know, Billy, Bridget's son,
01:59and just the people that are around him, I think, generally,
02:02understanding what their needs are.
02:04I think that's very instinctive for him as a teacher,
02:07and so she also sees sides of him that I think maybe other people
02:12don't see as easily.
02:13And just finally then, you've obviously done so many amazing things
02:16throughout your career, but how does it feel to be a Roncon heartthrob?
02:20It feels great.
02:22Well, you play it very, very well.
02:24Nice to see you. Thank you so much.
