00:00To go ahead with the current arrangement is a strong vote of confidence in the National Shipbuilding Strategy
00:08and in our intention to maintain a sovereign UK capability in shipbuilding.
00:14And this is vitally important for the Navy, as it is for Northern Ireland and for Belfast.
00:21Our particular interest here is to see additional prime companies coming into the market for shipbuilding
00:30and I'm very grateful indeed for the work that Levantia UK have done to progress this
00:36and position Levantia UK as one of the major prime shipbuilding companies in the UK today.
00:45And I do hope that taking a forward look into the 30-year order pipeline
00:50that has been articulated within the National Shipbuilding Strategy
00:53that it will be able to take its place among the other players in that and compete for more work
00:59and carry on the fine tradition that Harland & Wolff has had for very many years
01:04of providing the Navy with excellent warships.
01:07So on that positive note, I want to end my short speech today
01:12to thank you for being here today, to thank you for keeping the faith
01:15and to take a really positive outlook on the future.
01:19There's a tremendous opportunity here
01:21and I know that Belfast and all of you here today are fantastically well placed to take that.
01:26Thank you very much indeed.
