00:00The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board says on Wednesday, January 29, it has
00:06yet to review the controversial film of Daryl Yap about Pepsi Paloma.
00:10The MTRCB says,
00:12Contrary to a false claim, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board hereby serves
00:18the notice that the Pepsi Paloma movie is currently not under review due to incomplete
00:23requirements.
00:24The board also says they were unable to accept the materials submitted by PinoyFlix because
00:29the Legal Affairs Division required the distributor to provide three specific documents.
00:34Each film application undergoes an initial review by a three-member committee, with a
00:38second review by a five-member panel, if necessary.
00:42In early January, Daryl Yap released a trailer for an upcoming film, The Rapists of Pepsi
00:46Paloma, which prompted comedian Vic Soto to file a cyber-libel complaint against the film
00:51director.
00:53The court granted Soto's writ of habeas data petition and ordered Yap to delete the 26-second
00:58teaser from all platforms.
01:00But the court allowed the continuation of the film's production and the eventual release
01:04of the film.
