Sheryl Lee Ralph Is Ready to Reunite With Denzel Washington for an 'Adult Romantic Comedy'

00:03You know, Denzel and I did a film called The Mighty Quinn, and that was right before he became

00:10Denzel. And I would love to be able to circle back at this time in life to do an adult rom-com

00:20or an adult dramedy, a great film that has some depth to it. That's what I would like. Yeah.

00:29You know who else I'd like to work with? Another Ralph. No, he's not a Ralph. He's a Rafe. I love

00:36Rafe Fiennes. I really think that is a really wonderful, solid actor, and I'd love to do

00:44something with him. I'm a very persistent woman. I don't give up. I don't mind climbing the mountain.

00:55I also don't mind moving the mountain because sometimes you have to look at the mountain and

01:02say, you must move because I am going to carry on. I don't like to listen to a lot of what

01:13other people want to tell you is going to happen because all they can really tell you is what is

01:18going to happen to them. Other people's journey is other people's journey. Take your own walk

01:27through life, but if you're smart, listen to your mother because there have been times in my life

01:35where my mother said, if you walk down that street, you're going to get maybe about a block,

01:42maybe a block and a half. There's going to be a hole in the road. They might have repaired it,

01:48but probably not. Be careful when you get there because you don't want to have to drop in the

01:53hole, nor do I want to have to come and take you out of the hole. Rise. Do you see what I'm saying?

02:01Walk your walk in life, but listen to your mother because if you've had a good mother,

02:07she will never steer you wrong. Never. I'm telling you that's fact. Well, first of all,

02:14you know, I love the idea of thriving. I love the idea of living my absolute best life at any age.

02:24And when they say thrive at 50 plus, I was like, oh, I like that. Especially in a time, you know,

02:31where everybody's so crazy about youth, youth, youth, there's nothing wrong with youth and being

02:37young, but you get to a certain point and then you value wisdom. So it was very exciting for me to be

02:43able to be a part of a project that was going to bring wisdom and information around health and

02:50wellbeing, especially as it pertains to shingles. And people always say, well, what about it?

02:58If you're over 50, you probably have chicken pox. If you had chicken pox, that means that you

03:06already have the virus that causes shingles in your body. And I said,

03:14so that's how that happened. Cause you know, a lot of young people, they're like, what's chicken pox?

03:21And it's like, they don't know. But now we want to talk to people. We want to say to people,

03:27talk to your doctor, talk to your pharmacist, get the information about the possibility of

03:35your developing shingles and talk about vaccination. Have the conversation.

03:43Cause if you get shingles, you will not forget it.
