A six-legged robot dog, independently developed by China, recently completed tests near Zhongshan Station in Antarctica. It demonstrated remarkable stability on ice and snow, thanks to specially designed shoes that endure temperatures as low as -40°C, preventing slippage and minimizing ice damage.

Equipped with a battery system, the robot can operate for up to six hours with additional batteries, carrying loads of 70-100kg. It’s designed for critical tasks like ice crevasse detection, ensuring safety during polar expeditions.
