00:00Good afternoon everyone, we're here to present our new signing at Milan, Kyle Walker, I don't
00:11need to explain to you what sort of player he is, his statistics speak for themselves,
00:20he made history with Manchester City, it's a real coup for us in the transfer market
00:30because he's a leader both on and off the pitch, he's got a wealth of experience and
00:36he will bring with him a great deal of qualities, you might ask why have we signed another right
00:42back when we've already got Emerson Royale, Florenzi, Calabria, even Terraciano and Alex
00:48Jimenez can play there but this was an opportunity that we couldn't pass up because we were better
00:56off having him than not having him because he'll bring a great deal both on and off the
01:01pitch as I said, and so we're very confident that Kyle Walker will be a very important
01:07player for this team so I'd like to welcome Kyle to the club.
01:11Let's start with the questions, Milan TV, thanks Nicola, can you hear me, okay thank
01:18you Nicola, hi Zlatan, hi Kyle, I'll now ask you a question in Italian, over the course
01:27of your great career that Zlatan has just recalled, what have your feelings been about
01:34Milan, what has this club meant to you seeing it from afar, from England in the Premier
01:42League?
01:43The translator doesn't speak, the translator doesn't tell me what it was.
01:54Of course for me to play in this club, to be, you know, to put on the famous shirt is
02:02very good, so obviously it's a great ambition for mine to take something different and try
02:12something different in England and this I felt was a great opportunity for me to come
02:17here and express my talents and everything like that.
02:26Next guy, hi Kyle, welcome along, have you spoken to any Milan players from the past
02:46about the history of Milan in recent times, it's a big decision, the Manchester City captain
02:53that's come to Milan who is struggling in Serie A, but you have shown a great deal of
02:59courage over the last few days haven't you, you've got a big smile on your face.
03:03Yeah of course I spoke to one of the greats before coming here, so he gave me the clarification,
03:11you know that this is a club that wants to go and do well, that he's striving for big
03:16things, obviously you went and won the cup in Saudi Arabia which is a good start, we
03:22know as a team, as a foundation that the league is not going well, but the Champions
03:27League is going tremendously well, you need one point now to make sure that there's no
03:32play-offs and you can qualify automatically into the next group stage, and this is something
03:38that I hope that I'm bringing to this team, I'm bringing my quality and my experience
03:42but also leadership as well, I want to make sure that this club is back to where we want
03:48to be in the league, and I think that we have the players, we have the right people
03:52behind the scenes doing the right things, and hopefully now we can turn the corner to
03:57make sure that we're doing the right things in the right way.
04:00A question for Ibrahimovic, Zlatan I know how attached you are to Milan, the elegance
04:11of this club, the history of this club, I'd like to ask you as Ibra and as a senior manager
04:16here, what did you make of what happened post-match, I know that you stepped in in the dressing
04:21room, you tried to calm things down after what went on between Sergio Gonçalves and
04:25Davide Calabria, I'm sure the club aren't happy about what went on, could you also give
04:30us what the club's line is on this?
04:35You're talking about the head coach and Calabria when you're referring to yesterday's situation,
04:39there was a whole deal of adrenaline flowing, tempers flared and these are two winners who
04:47did what they did, but if you ask me, situations like these happen thousands of times, plenty
04:58off the pitch, the most important thing is that we draw a line under things and resolve
05:03the situation and it was already resolved before they came back into the dressing room
05:10and given the way the match panned out, it's only natural there was a whole host of adrenaline,
05:16but if we're talking about a club, this happened at Barcelona, Inter, Milan, Manchester United,
05:23in Paris with Paris Saint-Germain, it's only natural that these things happen because when
05:30you play with world-class players, when you've got a top winning mentality, then you do clash
05:35because everyone wants to win at all costs and here, as Fabio Capello taught me, this
05:44is good for the team because when I did it, he said to me, don't worry, it's good for
05:49the team, so I'd like to carry this forward because I'm someone who plays with a lot of
05:54emotion, the head coach does his job with a great deal of emotion, just like Calabria
06:01does his, that's why these things happen at every club, it's better that these things
06:08happen as opposed to them not happening because if they don't happen, it's almost like they
06:13don't care, whereas actually they have now shown everyone, sure, for the outside image
06:24of the club, it looks ugly, but actually these things happen, the most important thing is
06:28that they're controlled, under control and we drew a line under it and resolved it after
06:32the game.
06:33Hi Kyle, welcome to Italy, we'll promise you the weather will get better in the next few
06:43days but what did you already know about our country and our brand of football, Serie A,
06:49had you spoken to people in recent years, had someone spoken to you about Italian football?
07:01Obviously growing up, the big teams, they see Milan, Juventus, Inter, when you look
07:08at these teams and these teams playing in the Champions League, you can see the types
07:13of players that have come from this league, that have played in this league, that have
07:18gone on to do great things, so I wanted to come and experience it, obviously there's
07:23many clubs that I could have maybe gone to, not just now but in the past, but I chose
07:30to stay in the Premier League, now I felt at this time and this moment, it was good
07:34for me to come and experience it and I felt that this was ultimately the right club, I
07:38felt welcomed, Zlatan was fantastic with me on the phone, he made me feel ashore and
07:44I wanted to come and prove myself that I can do it in not just the Premier League but also
07:48Serie A.
07:56Hi Kyle, I wanted to ask you, you were at the game yesterday, what did you make of that
08:05display, what do you think Milan need at this moment in time in order to reach their targets
08:10that they established at the start of the season, namely, at least to get back in the
08:14Champions League?
08:19I think first and foremost, it comes down to, from what I've seen at the end of the
08:24game yesterday, this is what we need for the full 90 minutes, this is the passion, this
08:30is the willingness to win and the pressure that we have to put on ourselves as a group
08:35of players to make sure that we win these types of games. Obviously the Champions League
08:41and stuff like that, when you're playing against the top, top teams, that's no disrespect
08:46to Parma, but this is a game that they come to our home and we should be winning and taking
08:52the three points. So to see it from the first 45 to the second 45, I think it was a big
08:59difference and for me that was the enthusiasm and something that you need, you need the
09:05leadership, you need the character on the pitch and you need people to, you know, like
09:11where Zlatan said about the manager and what happened yesterday, this shows emotion, this
09:16shows passion, this shows that they care and they care about the club and you need to make
09:20sure that you do that for the full 90 minutes, not just when the going gets tough as we say
09:24in England.
09:26Zlatan, alongside you there's a top player, a great coup in the transfer market as you
09:34said, but what a number of people want to know is, is that the end of your transfer
09:41business or will you continue to explore options? It's no secret that you're looking at strikers,
09:47so could you give us an update on where you're at? It's difficult with the transfer window
09:52ongoing, I know. Are you looking at a midfielder as well as potentially a forward option?
10:02We have some transfer targets that we're trying to get over the line, but as you said, it's
10:06not an easy transfer market, it's very tough, the January transfer window. We're working
10:10hard. A situation arose with Kyle whereby he wasn't necessarily an objective that we
10:20were looking at, whereas this opportunity arose and we had our fingers on the pulse,
10:25so it's better off having him as opposed to not having him. We're now working in terms
10:30of what we need in our mind and based on what the coach wants as well and we hope to be
10:36able to secure it, but it's always a battle in situations such as these, but we are working
10:42hard. You can never guarantee anything, but we know what we want to do and we are working
10:50hard. Thank you.
10:52A question for Walker. I wanted to ask you, what do you think the first quality that you
11:05have that made Milan sign you?
11:08The history of the club and also the project that Zlatan said to me that they want to do
11:15and go and achieve.
11:16No, no, your quality in terms of why Milan were looking at you. What jumps off the page
11:29in terms of your skillset?
11:32I'll answer that. I think the fact that he's a leader on and off the pitch, this is a characteristic
11:44that we need. He's an alpha male in the dressing room and he can give a helping hand when the
11:50going gets tough, when things are going well as well, but he's not only very good on the
11:54pitch, he's very strong off the field as well. He can offer a great deal in a number of different
12:02areas. We're talking about a right back, but we also believe that he can play as a centre-back.
12:07That's a role he's played at Manchester City and he brings a great deal of things that
12:15he can offer to the team. He's got a huge amount of experience and that's only positive.
12:20That's why we were looking for him in terms of his skillset.
12:25As opposed to that, I wanted to ask you Zlatan, whether come the end of January you expected
12:31to find yourself in this situation, not you but the club, there are perhaps more issues
12:39than might have first been foreseen. Can you still sort that out?
12:46Did you expect the first six months to go a bit easier or better?
12:49A few weeks ago I said step by step this is something new for me because I'm now working
13:02in another area of the footballing industry. It was different on the pitch because I could do
13:09my job as a footballer, whereas now I'm trying to do my job and play my role off the pitch.
13:19Even when I was a player I used to say to myself you're only as good as your last match.
13:25This is not a situation that we want to be in. We're always aiming high and our goals are to try
13:31and win things and to win every single match. The Super Cup was one of our targets, so too
13:37is Serie A. We're still in the Coppa Italia and we'll play against Roma and on Wednesday if we
13:45win the game we hope that we're in the top eight. I believe that's guaranteed if we get maximum points.
13:55So we're still in line with our targets before the league season started but of course we need
13:59to be more consistent domestically in the league to try and make up the ground so that we can
14:04finish higher up the league table. That's what we're working towards.
14:07Hi Kyle, welcome along. I wanted to ask you,
14:16as Ibrahimovic has just said, you bring leadership and character.
14:21Have you already spoken to some of the players in the dressing room
14:26and how can you help this team in terms of winning mentality,
14:30in terms of how you can overcome the hurdles?
14:37One final question, is it true that in your contract there is a bonus if you win the Champions
14:45League and is that a target that you'd like to win in the medium term with Milan?
14:50I'll address the Champions League. Obviously it's a dream come true to win the Champions League.
15:02I've been very fortunate to do that with Manchester City and I played in obviously a final which I
15:07lost so I've experienced both sides of winning and going up there and collecting the
15:13trophy and also losing having to go and clap someone. I can assure you that clapping
15:19or being clapped at is better than clapping for someone but this is something down the line.
15:26We can't affect that, we can only affect that and that's based on results and winning games
15:30in the Champions League. The second thing with the bonus, if you're talking monetary value,
15:38no of course not. The bonus is winning the Champions League, the bonus is not money.
15:43I don't play football for anything other than the joy and the passion.
15:49Obviously things at Manchester City wasn't going too well and I wasn't playing enough
15:53football of what I wanted to do so a reason for me wanting to come and play football
15:58and for this great club was that I hopefully can play a little bit more football than what I was
16:03doing there and I want to win things. I spent a long time in my career at Tottenham getting there
16:09or getting closer or coming to finals and losing which was a shame. So when I joined Manchester
16:16City to win the 17 trophies that I did in seven years, to win six Premier Leagues, to win one
16:22Champions League with a treble, the Super Cup, the Club World Cup, these are things that I'm
16:29not stopping now. Even at my age of 34 I've come here to win because I prefer winning and I prefer
16:36last seven years than from 19 until 27, I can assure you that.
16:50Good afternoon. I wanted to ask you, during the Milan-Palma game when the opposition led
17:00by two goals to one, did you think what am I doing here?
17:07Definitely not. It's football, things happen in football but by the end of the game AC Milan won
17:133-2 and that's what the main thing is. We got the victory that we wanted, we got the victory that
17:20this club needed and I think for this week that's leading up into a big game on Wednesday
17:26and then the derby on Sunday, this is a step in the right direction to hopefully
17:30you know make sure that this big week or a really important week
17:34started off right and I think that the lads did that yesterday.
17:43Wanted to ask you Zlatan,
17:47recently you stressed a concept, this team needs balance.
17:51That's the same thing that Conceicao says too. I wanted to ask you,
17:59do you perhaps also need a bit more calm as opposed to balance?
18:07You have greater calm when you get results because when you win matches then you get into
18:12a winning run, winning becomes a habit and that then bestows upon you greater balance
18:20because things are going the way you want them to. But if you don't have that consistency
18:28then you always try and get greater consistency by winning matches.
18:33But once you get two or three wins on the bounce that's when you get consistency but if you win
18:38one and then you don't win the game after that then you need to constantly knock down those
18:45barriers that are placed in front of you and you get into a negative spiral. But once you
18:49secure that consistency it becomes that much easier to play because you grow in confidence,
18:56you get a bit of the rubber, the green. I don't necessarily want to believe in good luck but you
19:00do need those breaks and it's a positive run and that's part and parcel of everything you need as
19:08a footballer because footballers aren't machines, they're also human beings and when you're at
19:14Milan there's that pressure of constantly needing to get results. It's always there,
19:21that's why we're at Milan because we always want to win and we do everything in our power to win
19:29and we're trying to do things in a way whereby we are consistent. We didn't win in terms of
19:35quality yesterday, we won in terms of our attitude just like the Super Cup, we won the Super Cup
19:39because of our attitude because had it come down to quality yesterday the game would have been over
19:45sooner with the utmost respect to Parma and yet it was actually our attitude that
19:50got us over the line, that shows what we want to do. But if you have that attitude with that spirit
19:57then ultimately that leads to what went on between the head coach and Calabria, that's all part of
20:01a spirit because that shows that the team is a living breathing thing because everyone is doing
20:06everything in their power to win but as I said from the outside it might have been overblown a
20:12little bit but I spent 25 years of my career in dressing room environments that's normal,
20:21from the outside sure it doesn't look great, it's not a good look but that's why I say once you
20:28find that consistency it will become a lot simpler in the sense that everything is different.
20:40Good afternoon, a question for both of you, you've spoken a lot about leaders and leadership when it
20:47comes to Karl Walker, is that exactly what you need at this moment in time and is that a current
20:53shortcoming of Milan, the fact that you're lacking players that are able to drag players
20:58kicking and screaming on a daily basis a bit like when you came back in January 2020 with Simon
21:04Kjær, those two leaders coming in gave the group a shake-up and for Karl Walker are you ready
21:11to actually take on this leadership role both on and off the pitch, thank you.
21:16It's what I have to do, it's at my age from my experience I can pass on that you know to the
21:23younger players but also you know I can't do it alone and I think from what I've seen in the
21:29first three to four days of me being here there is leaders but as you know Zlatan said maybe the
21:36confidence is a little bit low, the rhythm is win game, lose game, have a bad performance,
21:41have a good performance and you need a level of consistency. Obviously the manager has changed
21:48but I feel from what he's come in and from what I'm listening to over the last three days that
21:52he's got a good idea, he's got a good you know foundation that he wants to build this club on
21:57and I think it's needed, I think it's needed because sometimes there needs to be discipline,
22:02sometimes there needs to be that fire and emotion coming from the body because it projects onto the
22:07players and maybe you know recently that the players have lacked a little bit of that,
22:12I've not seen much of that so that's just my personal opinion from what I'm hearing
22:17and like you're saying to me today but that's my job, that's my job not just to play well
22:21on the field but you know obviously I know Fik, I know Ruben, I know Tammy from England,
22:28I hope they trust me because I tried to lead them at England as being the vice captain
22:33under Harry Kane and you know hopefully they can then lean on me to trust me to know that I'm going
22:38to lead them in the right direction on the field and to follow me because you know I've won a lot
22:43of things and I've come here with the experience of you know hopefully doing the same here.
22:52There are two types of leaders, there are leaders out there on the pitch when they play
22:59and there are leaders off the pitch as well.
23:03In situations such as those like when Simon Kjær and I came in it was a bit of both,
23:11I could both play as a leader on the pitch and when I wasn't playing I was a leader off it as
23:15well. As for whether there are leaders lacking in this team, I think leaders
23:22are required at every team because without leaders you don't necessarily having people
23:29taking the initiative and taking charge. I do think there are leaders inside this team,
23:34there are different types of leaders. Kyle Walker has a different leadership,
23:41he's won absolutely everything there is to win, he's older and he can also be a leader on the
23:47pitch as well as off it. That's what we're trying to bring to this team with Kyle who's a more
23:55experienced player and he can manage situations in different circumstances and that's what we've
24:07been looking for with Kyle Walker but occasionally you need a bit of the rubber the green too,
24:11that's what football's all about. Hi Kyle, I'm over here.
24:21We've spoken about the derby on the 2nd of February, you've already come up against Inter
24:26in Istanbul, Manchester City beat Inter 1-0 but since then Inter have grown in confidence and
24:32they've won the league. However, they've lost both derbies this season, what are you wary of
24:38about this Inter side, what do you respect about this Inter side and what's the player
24:42that you'd like to take out of the Inter team? Well, as you just said I've played Inter
24:50already this season for Manchester City in the Champions League, the first game.
24:56It's going to be a different game because they come with a low block
25:00to Manchester and it was kind of a little bit of a chess game, we had to try and break them down
25:05which I thought we could have done better, that's my personal opinion but it was the start of the
25:10season, we were just finding our rhythm but still we played a good match against them. From what
25:17I've seen, what I've heard, what I've been speaking to my teammates about, it's going to
25:21be a different game and it should be an exciting game but you're only as good as your last game
25:27and the last game that AC and Inter played was in the Super Cup and we came out victorious so
25:33maybe they want a little bit of revenge for that but this is where the character and the
25:37mentality comes from that this is our crown now and we need to make sure that we go to that game
25:44fully committed, not just for ourselves, the league table position but also for the fans as well.
25:58Good afternoon to both of you, first and foremost a question for Kyle,
26:03welcome to the club, I'd like to ask you when you spoke to Guardiola that you're moving to
26:08Milan whether he told you something particular about to Milan, your former coach of Manchester
26:13City Pep Guardiola? No, I mean when I spoke with Pep it wasn't a very comfortable conversation
26:23because of the respect that we both have for each other, from what we've achieved both at
26:27Manchester City, everything that he's won at Manchester City I've also won and I'd like to
26:34think that he knows what I bring to the dressing room and the atmosphere that I create, I'm here to
26:42obviously play football, I'm here to work with my teammates but at Manchester City it was my family
26:47from the cooks, to the cleaner, to the kit men, to the physios, I would like to think that I was
26:53liked a lot and I made sure that everyone was blended in together so I just have to try and
26:58find the same here, listen I have to learn a lot of names, I need to speak Italian, I'm going to
27:03do Italian lessons but it's something that I'm fully committed to and wanting to learn and I
27:11think I'm so hungry I still have the fire in my belly to go and achieve things and that's the
27:16main thing that's what I really want to come here you know I don't want to just win things
27:19in one country I want to come to another country and also you know win there as well.
27:27Quick question for Zlatan, you were a great striker I wanted to ask you whether you like
27:31Jimenez of Feyenoord and whether this team needs any midfielders?
27:37Jimenez is a talented player with a great deal of potential
27:41and we all know what a great player he is, as for whether we need a midfielder in this team
27:50in actual fact we've got some excellent midfielders one of them unfortunately is
27:55injured Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ismael Benassez just come back but with Reinders, Moussa and Fofana
28:03we're strong in that area of the pitch they're also doing a very good job
28:06and as I explained earlier on
28:13we'll see what we're able to do in the market.
28:19Good afternoon to both of you, a question for Kyle, do you believe in fate? You were born on
28:24the 28th of May which is an important day for Milan because they beat Juventus in the Champions
28:31League final, you won the Champions League against Inter and you also wore the red and black
28:37shirt which is Manchester City's third kit which is dedicated to Milan, do you think this is fate?
28:43Yeah of course I hope, I don't believe in, I believe in fate but I believe it's also in
28:49hard work, I feel what you put into anything in life is what you get out, so not just because
28:56my birthday's on this day and you know the thing it's not just going to happen like this but
29:01you know I think if the work continues the work continues you know on and off the field
29:06and you know the lads put in the work that we can do we'll see you know I think Champions League as
29:11well and in any cup competition it's not a league it's not you know game after game after game I
29:17think it's a little bit of luck you do need luck to get to the final but then you also need to play
29:21well and when you get there.
29:30Tele Lombardia, hi Kyle, you've come up against the best in world football I'd like to ask you
29:37where does Raphael Liao rank and any news on outgoing players later?
29:44With Rapha he speaks for himself the quality is there and what I've seen in training what I've
29:53also seen in you know on the Champions League when I was back in Manchester watching watching
29:58the games but also what I hear from the likes of Bernardo Silva, Ruben Diaz at Manchester City is
30:04that he's got all the ability in the world, now it's down to Rapha to make sure that he's one of
30:09the best players in the world and it comes from him and as Zlatan said there before that you know
30:15having quality this team has quality everyone has quality in this team before they wouldn't be
30:19playing for a great club like this but I think that what's most important is the top 10 percent
30:23and it comes down to the mentality and wanting to be the best player you need to show a little bit
30:28of arrogance but not cockiness if that they translate that right it's not it's not you know
30:35I'm the best and I just walk out into the field and they're going to give me the ball and I'm
30:38going to score three goals it doesn't work like that you need to want to work to do that
30:43and then once you work and put the effort in you know the results will come
30:53an update on Luka Jovic
30:57there's no news on that nothing has changed it depends on what it is we want to do
31:02he's doing a very good job the head coach is happy with him and we'll see what happens
31:09you also need to figure out what the best is for the player what's in the player's best interest
31:14that's important too thanks very much Calcio Mercato a quick question for Kyle and a question
31:20for Ibra Kyle welcome to the Rosso Neri one of our colleagues was saying early on about Pep Guardiola
31:27and the fact that you were the quickest strongest defender he ever coached at Manchester City you've
31:34got a similar skill set to Teo Hernandez can you actually help Teo Hernandez defensively what do
31:39you think about him and what has Sergio Conceicao actually said to you Ibra another leader has
31:45joined Milan whereas there are some leaders that we're talking about Reinders, Teo, Mignol their
31:51contract renewals how's that all going and should we expect any announcements in the near future
31:57no with Teo obviously I played against him with England v France and he's a top player I think
32:05the stats speak for itself in this league and what he's gone and achieved but again the same for
32:10Rafa that this should be the start I joined I think he's 27 if I'm if I'm correct I joined
32:16Manchester City then and I feel now that for a defender especially you know at the age between
32:22of your footballing career because you use this a lot more use your head a lot more when you're
32:28defending and also when you're attacking and so if he you know wants any advice of course I can
32:33give it him but I think we should both complement each other and do what's best for the team you
32:37know if he wants to attack more I want to attack more if I go he stays and defends and I go I
32:44stay and I attack and he stays and defends and so I think it's a good thing that he's got a
32:49to attack more if I go he stays and defends but the most important is the team you know
32:54it's not individuals individuals will shine once the team is doing well
33:06I forgot the question say again
33:08I forgot the question
33:18yeah I spoke to him um obviously his english is not great but we we had brief conversations
33:26he was happy I was here um and he said I need to obviously show that my football you know is good
33:33so but from the conversations that we've had him and his coaching staff have been
33:38absolutely fantastic we've made the whole club and the organization has really helped me from
33:42living in England my whole life to coming here I was scared of course it's a big change but
33:47the club have welcomed me in anything that I've needed they made sure that you know I can just
33:51keep my routine going um and hopefully bring you know the performances on the pitch with that so
33:57as a club I have to say you know thank you for that and you know welcoming
34:01me in such open arms and making everything as easy as possible now it's down to me to play
34:06you know well on the football pitch
34:12if we're talking about Tijani Reinders Mike and Theo we're speaking to them day in day out
34:21they're happy and everything's under control but not only with them we're also speaking to
34:25other players too everyone's happy here and everyone wants to keep playing for Milan
34:31as Kyle said
34:37we're thinking about the players but players themselves need to focus on
34:40playing football and I can assure you the three players are looking good
34:45good afternoon Kyle I'm over here I just wanted to ask a question to Zlatan over the last six
34:52months we started the season with you and you spoke to us about what the targets were for the
34:58campaign so the senior management will do the job off the pitch whereas the coach needs to
35:05coach the team whereas it feels now like the head coach has a bit more of a say in certain areas
35:10like the transfer window earlier on you mentioned that you alluded to that so I wanted to understand
35:15whether this change has been dictated by the change in coach the person who's come into the
35:20helm or whether the senior management actually needs to be a bit self-critical about the fact
35:27that their departments were a little bit too detached in the first half of the season
35:36the way that we're working with Sergio is exactly the same as the way we worked with
35:40Paolo Fonseca if we're talking about players we had already targeted certain players before
35:46Fonseca came in at the end of last season before Fonseca was hired that's the difference
35:51but Fonseca was exactly the same as Sergio
36:02but the difference is now that the head coach likes a certain type of player whereas Sergio
36:07liked a different sort of player but the club always has its profiles in the transfer market
36:13and certain players that they want to sign if need be but we haven't changed the way we work
36:21what can I say about being a self-critical ownership we want to do the utmost there's
36:26no guarantees in terms of getting results but we're working very hard and I know thanks to
36:31my experience that when you're doing a good job results will come along thank you
36:37last question with Carlo Pellegatti
36:39good afternoon Kyle I'm Carlo Pellegatti there are two top players that will be stars in 2025
36:51one is English and it's Lewis Hamilton who left Mercedes to take up a new challenge with Ferrari
37:00and the other one is Kyle Walker who left Manchester City to take up a new challenge
37:04with Milan do you like this comparison this is a challenge for yourself isn't it because
37:12you could have stayed there lest we forget you've won 20 pieces of silverware since 2017
37:21and you're one of the best defenders in Europe so is it a challenge for yourself and if so why
37:29and who's going to win sooner Milan or Ferrari
37:35well thank you for obviously the the kind words that's you know it's really nice as you said there
37:48you know I could have stayed in Manchester I still had a contract there and I would have
37:53warranted that contract if they wouldn't have let me leave that's just me as a person
37:57but I think it comes down to challenges in life I think sometimes
38:00you find yourself in a little bit of a situation where you think okay I need to try something
38:05different and I've spoke to many players many ex-players that have not really moved on or moved
38:12abroad in a different in the different league of the Premier League and he kind of said to me I
38:16wish I experienced it now if I wasn't going to a big club I don't think I would have done it I think
38:22I would have stayed in the Premier League stayed at Manchester City and you know continue my career
38:27and you know continue my career there but when a club like this comes you know knocking on the
38:32door for you I think it's there's only certain clubs in the world that you can kind of not say
38:37no to and this was the opportunity that I wanted when I spoke to Zlatan you know and he made it
38:44clear that you know they they're excited they wanted to you know take me on board and that
38:50that made me feel secure you know that made me feel okay this is the right decision and you know
38:54when you just get the gut feeling that was the gut feeling that I had and hopefully you know it's
39:00a positive end to the season for me personally but also more importantly for the team as for
39:08your last question with Ferrari and for Lewis as well as being an Englishman I want him to win
39:14and Ferrari for being Italian I want them to win so hopefully fingers crossed, grazie.
39:20Grazie a tutti.
39:22Thank you very much everyone.
39:24Thank you ever so much.
