Displaced Palestinian families began returning home to northern Gaza on Monday (Jan 27) morning in cars, trucks and on rickshaws that were overloaded with mattresses, food and the tents that served as shelters for over a year.

01:33January 31st, and Israel would in return allow displaced Palestinians to return to northern
01:39Gaza starting on Monday morning.
01:42Authorities said around 650,000 Palestinians are expected to return home north of the enclave,
01:50most of which had been demolished by 15 months of Israeli attacks which have killed more
01:55than 47,000 Palestinians.
