00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has been involved in various efforts to address the challenges of climate change, job creation, peace and order, and others.

00:10Let's go back to the national news of Kenneth Paciente of PTV.

00:18On Monday, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. opened the Tesla Center Philippines in Taguig City.

00:25Here, he emphasized the importance of shifting to electric vehicles that can help reduce the effects of climate change.

00:32The President continues to work with the Philippines on sustainable development of the country's transport system by reducing carbon emissions in vehicles.

00:43The President also met with Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma of the Labor Department to discuss how the agency will use its funds this year.

00:52On Tuesday, the President and the DILG had a dialogue.

00:56There, he ordered the agency to return the funds that were allocated to the national police programs.

01:02At the same time, the DILG emphasized the strengthening of the 9-1-1 capacity through the addition of call centers and dispatchers,

01:11including the purchase of body cameras and the pulcation device of police responders.

01:17At the same time, with the help of the Private Sector Advisory Council Education and Job Sector Group,

01:22the Chief Executive instructed government agencies and stakeholders to strengthen the semiconductor and electronics industry.

01:31The President said that the industry must be pushed because of the country's income that can be obtained here,

01:37which is equivalent to the income obtained by the Philippines in the export of products.

01:42It is also the President's desire to give incentives to semiconductor locators or companies operating in the semiconductor industry.

01:51On Thursday, the President received ADB Outgoing President Masatsugu Asakawa on a farewell call.

01:58Here, the President introduced the contributions of the Asian Development Bank to the development of the country,

02:04especially during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, where he said that without its support, the situation in the Philippines will be difficult.

02:13President Asakawa also made the Order of Sigatuna as a recognition of its support and service to further strengthen the partnership between the Philippines and ADB.

02:23The Chief Executive also led the 24th NEDA meeting where the Philippine Development Report 2024 was discussed.

02:30He also emphasized the importance of making the government's initiatives accessible to the public

02:36and explaining to them the long-term benefits of government-sponsored programs.

02:42Despite the President's directive to have a comprehensive report on the impact of government agencies on food security.
