In ancient Judea under King Herods reign prophecies and a mysterious star set in motion events that will change the world. Three wise men from the East follow the celestial sign while in Nazareth a young woman named Mary receives divine news that she will bear Gods son. Her journey with Joseph to Bethlehem for the census becomes increasingly dangerous as King Herod haunted by prophecies of a new king plots against the coming Messiah. As Mary and Joseph search for shelter in crowded Bethlehem shepherds in nearby fields witness heavens announcement through a spectacular angelic visitation. Meanwhile the wise mens quest leads them first to Herods palace where their inquiries about a newborn king spark the rulers deadly paranoia. The paths of shepherds wise men and the holy family converge at a humble stable where the birth of Jesus fulfills ancient prophecies. Divine intervention then guides the wise men home by another route and sends the holy family to safety in Egypt protecting the child from Herods wrath.
