00:03you through some of the things coming up in the week ahead. So first of all it's
00:07Holocaust Memorial Day today on what is the 80th anniversary of the liberation
00:12of Auschwitz-Birkenau. General Day of Remembrance takes place to commemorate
00:16the millions of people who died in the Holocaust and in genocides which
00:19followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. The Holocaust Centre North which
00:25is based at the University of Huddersfield will be hosting its event
00:28tomorrow from 6 p.m. Elsewhere it's been one of the more controversial attempts
00:34to change the law in recent years and oral evidence sessions on the assisted
00:37dying bill will begin this week. The committee looking at the bill which was
00:41sponsored in Parliament by Labour's Kim Leadbeater, MP for Yorkshire
00:45constituency of Spen Valley, is hosting three days of the sessions from
00:49tomorrow to Thursday. Then Chinese communities are set to celebrate Lunar
00:55New Year also known as Chinese New Year from Wednesday. People organise large
00:59community and public celebrations to mark the new year and festivities may
01:03last for up to two weeks. And lastly six form college teachers in England will
01:07continue strike action on Wednesday in a dispute over pay.
