St Govan’s Centre in Pembroke Dock is still open (for now) after one of a pair of beautiful stained glass panels crashed down as a result of Storm Éowyn.
Posting on social media this morning, the shopping centre announced:
“We’re absolutely devastated to have seen one of our iconic stained glass displays at the front of the centre has been blown down by the wind this morning, and for the safety of our shoppers we’re keeping the main gates to the centre from Dimond Street locked until the storm dies down and we can secure the second pane of glass.
“The centre is still OPEN (for now) and accessible from Asda side and via the back door of Frame.
“Please take care and be cautious of smashed glass when heading down Dimond Street - we have cordoned it off as best we can, and the Police and Local Authorities have been made aware of it. Please DON’T enter into the taped off area for your own safety.
“Thanks, stay safe, and hopefully we’ll see you all today.”
