00:00The tension between some farmers and a group of guards in Talisay, Negros Occidental, was finally calmed down.

00:11In Barangay Dos Hermanas, the root of the tension was the assault and harassment of a guard to one of the farmers' children.

00:19According to the security agency, there was no assault.

00:22They said that the farmers were given maximum tolerance even if they were violent.

00:27The farmers complained to the police that nothing was done to the incident.

00:31But the police said that they did not see any harassment.

00:34The farmers were there to fight for the land to be returned from the one who rented it to them.

00:40According to the farmers, in 2002, they agreed to rent their land to a businessman for a year.

00:48But they still did not return the land to them.

00:51So they sent a demand letter in September of the previous year.

00:55GMA Integrated News is still trying to find the one who rented the land.
