00:00Magnitude 5.8 earthquake hit Southern Leyte this morning,

00:04followed by Magnitude 5.4 earthquake in Zamboanga del Norte.

00:09FIVOX assured that the affected areas will not be affected by the tsunami.

00:19Several parts of Southern Leyte were hit by lightning

00:23after the magnitude 5.8 earthquake hit this morning.

00:27In the images shared by a resident in Liloan, Southern Leyte,

00:31you can see that the roads here are split.

00:34The shops in this store collapsed.

00:37The cases of alcohol and soft drinks also spread.

00:40The inside of the house is also in chaos following the earthquake.

00:44Based on FIVOX data,

00:45at 7 in the morning, the earthquake hit a depth of 11 kilometers.

00:50The center of the earthquake was recorded in the town of San Francisco in Southern Leyte,

00:54where the intensity of the earthquake was recorded at intensity 6.

00:58Intensity 5 was felt in various towns in the province, including Ubay, Bohol.

01:02There are buildings that cracked, and even the roads.

01:07There are also earthquakes in the landslides.

01:10And what happened here is an active fault west of Panaon Island,

01:16which is in the sea.

01:17It's 11 kilometers, but the magnitude 5.8 earthquake

01:21cannot produce a tsunami.

01:23Usually, our tsunami would be around 7 and above.

01:27As of 1.30 p.m., according to FIVOX,

01:29up to 73 aftershocks were recorded

01:32with a magnitude of 1.6 to 2.9.

01:35But none of these were felt.

01:38Before noon, past 11.30 p.m.,

01:40the magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit the area of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

01:45FIVOX first recorded a magnitude 6.1 earthquake,

01:49but it was also downgraded after recalculation.

01:52Intensity 5 was only found in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte,

01:55Ipil, Zamboanga, Cebugay, and the city of Isabela.

01:58Forty-three kilometers is considered as a deep earthquake.

02:02And the source of this would be the Sulu Trench.

02:05When we say Intensity 5,

02:08it's a bit strong.

02:12Intensity 5 is considered as strong

02:15and generally felt by most people indoors and outdoors.

02:20And the hanging objects would swing violently.

02:26As of 1.30 p.m., two aftershocks were recorded here,

02:29where the magnitude 2.1 is the strongest.
