Pengamat Mata Uang Ibrahim Assuaibi mengatakan, pelemahan Rupiah berasal dari sentimen eksternal yaitu setelah pelantikan Presiden AS Donald Trump mengisyaratkan rencana untuk mengenakan tarif 10 persen pada impor China mulai 1 Februari 2025, dan memeringatkan potensi pungutan pada Uni Eropa.
