झारखंड के डीजीपी अनृराग गुप्ता ने रांची में कहा कर्नाटक की तर्ज पर राज्य में सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर सीसीटीवी लगाने केलिए सरकार को प्रस्ताव भेजा.

00:05When we researched the whole country, we found out that the Bangalore police have passed such an act.

00:11On the basis of that act, we have sent the Jharkhand government in the form of a model act.

00:19And in which we have kept a guideline that if in a shop, in a house, in a hotel, in a restaurant,

00:26in a particular amount of time, we do not want to disturb a small person, but if it is a big business,

00:31if it is a liquor shop, if it is a jewellery shop, if it is a bank where cash comes, if it is a petrol pump,

00:39then cameras should be installed in a necessary manner so that the criminal…

00:44You see, the Mumbai case, the attempt on the actor, CCTV cameras have been caught in that too.

00:51So CCTV camera is a very important tool for detection of crime.

00:55So we want to implement it on a large scale in the branch.

00:58But for this, we need a law.

01:00By making a small prototype of that law, we have sent it to the Jharkhand government.

01:04We hope that we will be able to implement it.

01:08For such a small information, sir, what is in this act?

01:11If you have read the Bangalore police…

01:14The intention is that the government will decide by means of a notification,

01:19that in which institutions it will be installed.

01:22And then it will be preserved for 30 days.

01:26And the local police station, if a crime occurs, it will be asked to leave from there.

01:33And in that, the SDM of the district or subdivision will also have an important role,

01:39which is called the subdivision magistrate.

01:41If he does not follow it, then the SDM can go to him and direct him.

01:45We have deliberately given this power to the police.

01:48We do not want our police officers to go to people's institutions and check the cameras.

01:52But we have given this power to the civil face magistrate.
