The UK's Prince Harry has concluded a long-running lawsuit against media giant Rupert Murdoch's tabloid publisher News Group Newspapers (NGN). Reading a statement from the royal outside the London court, lawyer David Sherborne says "the truth has now been exposed" that NGN used private investigators to intrude -- between 1996 and 2011 -- into Harry's private life, as well as those of other claimants, including former deputy Labour leader Tom Watson, the prince's last remaining co-claimant.

00:00I've been asked to read out a statement on behalf of the Duke of Sussex and Lord
00:29Watson. After endless resistance, denials and legal battles by newsgroup newspapers,
00:37including spending more than a billion pounds in payouts and in legal costs, as well as
00:43paying off those in the know in order to prevent the full picture from coming out, News UK
00:50is finally held to account for its illegal actions and its blatant disregard for the
00:56law. The truth that has now been exposed is that newsgroup newspapers unlawfully engaged
01:02more than 100 private investigators over at least 16 years on more than 35,000 occasions.
01:12This happened as much at the Sun as it did at the News of the World, with the knowledge
01:19of all the editors and executives going to the very top of the company. Today, the lies
01:26are laid bare. Today, the cover-ups are exposed. And today proves that no one stands above
01:33the law. The time for accountability has arrived.
01:37To your left, to your left, to your left, to your left, to your left, mate.
01:44I love you, Harry.
