Transcript
00:00Let me make one final plea, Mr. President.
00:08Millions have put their trust in you, and as you told the nation yesterday, you have
00:13felt the providential hand of a loving God.
00:18In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are
00:29scared now.
00:32There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and independent
00:40families, some who fear for their lives.
00:46And the people, the people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor
00:53in poultry farms and meatpacking plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants
00:58and work the night shifts in hospitals, they may not be citizens or have the proper documentation.
01:08But the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals.
01:12They pay taxes and are good neighbors.
01:16They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues, wudara, and temples.
01:26I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities.
