00:00Hi mate.
00:11Can I get a pint of lager please?
00:13Yeah, of course.
00:14Can I just use my beer?
00:15Yeah, no worries.
00:16It's got to be somewhere in here.
00:17Hi.
00:18Hi.
00:19Can I have a pint of Christmas cracker please?
00:30Certainly.
00:31I know it's a surprise for everyone, but I don't get asked for my ID anymore.
00:35But for loads of young people, they get asked all the time when they want to buy a drink.
00:39So we're changing the law so that next Christmas, young people will have their ID on their phone
00:45so they won't have all the hassle of needing to get ID, or leaving their ID at home, or
00:50their paper ID getting lost or damaged.
00:53There's already 50 digital apps like this one, but what it means is that bar staff can
00:58scan to prove somebody's identity and it doesn't give away any personal information.
01:03So it means that giving your ID is safer than it's ever been before.
01:07Changes like these are going to create economic growth for our country, which is key to our
01:12plan for change.
01:13There you are.
01:14Great, thanks.
01:15You can put it on the tab.
01:18So this means by next Christmas, buying a pint will be a little bit easier.
01:22Great.
01:23Yeah.
01:24All good.
01:25There you go mate.
01:26Cheers.
01:27£7.20 please.

01:29Merry Christmas.
