00:00Taiwan was hit by a magnitude 6 earthquake at 12 p.m. earlier this morning.

00:06According to the U.S. Geological Survey,

00:08the epicenter of the quake is 12 kilometers north of Yujing, Taiwan.

00:14CCTV footage shows how the equipment inside some stores collapsed

00:20due to the strong earthquake.

00:22Some aftershocks were also recorded.

00:24Some were rescued and trapped inside their homes.

00:30According to the Firefighting Authorities of Taiwan,

00:3215 people were injured and taken to the hospital.

00:37Some OFWs in Taiwan were also affected by the quake and temporarily evacuated.

00:43In an interview with a Filipino worker named Marci,

00:47she said she felt the strong earthquake while working in a factory.

00:53She said hundreds of Filipinos were working there,

00:57but they were all in good condition.

01:00According to the Manila Economic and Cultural Office,

01:03all Filipinos were safe there.

01:06They are also continuing to monitor the situation.
