00:29House Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Don Gonzales, Jr. is calling for a clean, orderly, and credible

00:352025 midterm elections in the country.

00:38During today's hearing of the House Committee on Public Order and Safety, the senseless

00:42killings of several politicians in the country rank high in the discussion.

00:46Here, Gonzales emphasized how this needs to come to an end.

00:50For the upcoming polls, he hopes no severe incidents of violence will be recorded.

00:55I hope no bloodshed, no deaths, and the families, especially our barangay chairmen, will be

01:04pitied.

01:05I really want respect to emerge, not fear, to let our countrymen choose who is entitled

01:16if the election is discussed.

01:19Also present at the hearing was former PNP spokesperson and now Central Luzon Police

01:24Regional Director Brigadier General Jean Fajardo.

01:27She assured the police is working hand-in-hand with the Commission on Elections to maintain

01:31peace and order.

01:33She also shared that they are also pushing for other initiatives for the elections.

01:37There is also an order from our chief PNP, and this is already cascaded, to our provincial

01:42directors to designate official or focal persons to the opponents here in the upcoming elections

01:53so that we can put police, so that if both parties are concerned, we can easily act.

02:07I pray that on May 12, 2025, we are successful in providing a secure environment, ensure

02:16free, honest, orderly, peaceful, and credible conduct of elections where every Filipino
