00:00Comedian and TV star Nor Fielding has shut down talk that he will be stepping down from his role

00:12all you need to know about the story. So the Mighty Boosh star has presented and been a co-host on
00:19the Great British Bake Off ever since his controversial switch to Channel 4 back all
00:23the way back in 2017. So that's eight years now. He's been there every year since other hosts have
00:31come and gone but he has remained throughout. He was expected to film the 2025 season as usual
00:39but recent reports had cast some doubt on that. So he has a TV show, had a TV show sorry, on Apple
00:48called The Completely Made Up Adventures of Dick Turpin. That was because Nor Fielding had had
00:55a health issue and couldn't continue with filming the show so they've had to scrap it because it
01:00wasn't finished and they're not going to release what was done. I guess it wasn't in a state that
01:05they could release it. And then over the weekend, so January 18th and 19th, there was reports in the
01:13national press that Channel 4 bosses were locked in. Crisis talks that he was potentially could be
01:19stepping down, having to find a replacement for the upcoming season which is due to film in some
01:26time in spring, summer 2025. But he has completely shut down those talks. A spokesperson for Nor
01:35Fielding said that there's absolutely been, there's been absolutely no discussion about Nor
01:41Fielding standing down from Bake Off. So yeah, there's been reports. It looks like he's going to
01:47be there but if there's any updates we'll do a new video and keep you all informed. But for right now
01:53expect Nor Fielding and Alison Hammond to be the presenters of Great British Bake Off 2025.
