00:00Yes Boy! This is WWE's Pretty Deadly and you can catch us live every single week on Netflix but today, who are we with?
00:09We are on independent TV.
00:11Yes Boy!
00:12Surprise!
00:14Two of the most handsome creatures to ever walk the face of the earth.
00:18The tastiest snacks in the whole universe.
00:22Pretty Deadly.
00:25Put your fists together!
00:27Faster! Faster!
00:36The biggest misconception is that this is such good entertainment, sometimes we forget.
00:41Sometimes we forget that this hurts, but guess what? It's a physical sport.
00:44You ready for this?
00:45It's a physical sport and here's some proof.
00:47You want to tell me if it hurts in there?
00:48Here's some proof.
00:49Look at that.
00:50What is that?
00:51Look at that.
00:52It's a hollow bone that just hangs out nowadays.
00:54We do a ton of stuff on our scapulas to try and keep our neck where we want to be because obviously that's where we're taking a lot of impact.
01:01If it was to go bad, that's the worst version, right? Is anything sort of neck related.
01:06There's a ton of time that gets spent on that.
01:08Our necks are incredibly, maybe five times as strong as the average man and that is just because when we fall, we are protecting ourselves.
01:15We are keeping our necks safe, so there's a lot of niche exercises.
01:21There's some neck strengthening involved, it really is.
01:24Big kick from Angel.
01:26And once again, when the referee has his back turned, Elton Prince involves himself.
01:32We are strategic.
01:33We're good guys on the outside, but in the ring we want to win.
01:36We want the championships, we want to succeed, so we're willing to be the bad guys and we're willing to use strategy, so we have a playbook.
01:43Yeah, we do have the PD playbook, yes we do.
01:51It takes such a mental toll on you, I don't think that's ever talked about or people realise.
01:55But if you think about it, you're going in front of these massive crowds and it is a big experience and it is sometimes nerve-wracking because these are big opportunities that we want to smash and we want to achieve.
02:04And one of our main catchphrases, pretty deadly use, is yes boy.
02:08And it's kind of a positive affirmation from us and that's how it started.
02:11Back in the early days, even on the independents, before we joined the company, we would hype each other before the match.
02:16We don't get nervous too often because we're pretty good at what we do, but we do like to hype each other up because we're flamboyant, we're energetic.
02:22So it used to be a little like, yes boy, yes boy, yes boy, yes boy, yes boy, yes boy!
02:28And then we're ready to go out in the curtain and obviously that translates out into the ring and it becomes something special.
02:33But yeah, there's a little hype up you need.
02:36Everyone's got their own routine, some people listen to music with their headphones, but we've got each other and that's the beauty of a tag team.
02:53I know if you're struggling, we've got a few looks, we've got a few sayings, we've got a few numbers and then we know where we're going from there.
03:00Or at least we know where ideally we want to go from there.
03:03That might not work out, but we've got a backup plan for that backup plan.
03:05Backup plans are backup plans. We are backed up.
03:08That's a bar.
03:11I think the beauty of wrestling is that there's so many different styles and I think that's why now that we're on Netflix, we've got Raw on there, we've got NXT on there, we've got Smackdown on there.
03:20Which every show is a little bit different, every show is going to have a roster that's a little bit different and I think that's kind of the beauty of it, isn't it?
03:28Yeah.
