Trump promises ‘most extraordinary first 100 days of any presidency’

Donald Trump told thousands of roaring supporters he would impose severe limits on immigration on his first day in office, vowing to swiftly fulfill the central promise of his presidential campaign on Sunday, January 19, to a rally inside a packed Washington arena a day before he returns to power.

Trump repeated his campaign pledge to launch the largest deportation effort in U.S. history, which would remove millions of immigrants. An operation of that scale, however, would likely take years and be hugely costly.

The rally resembled the free-wheeling campaign speeches that have been a Trump staple since his first White House run in 2016, with the former and future president delivering a mix of boasts, false claims and sweeping promises to the delight of the crowd. 00:00But starting tomorrow, I will act with historic speed and strength and
00:04fix every single crisis facing our country, we have to do it.
00:08And as of today, TikTok is back.
00:16Perhaps most beautiful of all, this week we achieved an epic ceasefire
00:22agreement as a first step toward lasting peace in the Middle East.
00:26And this agreement could only have happened as a result of our historic victory in November.
00:35But I'm glad to report that the first hostages have just been released.
00:46And who knows what's going to happen.
00:49I know that Biden is saying that they made the deal well, you know, I mean, that deal
01:00should have been the first of all, it would have never happened if I were president would
01:05have never happened.
01:06There was no not even a thought of it.
01:08Our incoming administration has achieved all of this in the Middle East in less than three
01:12months without being president.
01:15We've achieved more without being president than they've achieved in four years with being
01:21president.
01:25Orders that are going to make you extremely happy, lots of them, lots of them.
01:33We have to set our country on the proper course by the time the sun sets tomorrow evening,
01:41the invasion of our borders will have come to a halt and all the illegal border trespasses
01:48will in some form or another be on their way back home.
01:54Every radical and foolish executive order of the Biden administration will be repealed
02:00within hours of when I take the oath of office.
02:05Oh, you're going to have a lot of fun watching television, but we're going to stop the destructive
02:15and divisive diversity, equity and inclusion mandates all across the government and private
02:25sector and return our country to the merit system.
02:28We are going to make public remaining records relating to the assassinations of President
02:34John F. Kennedy, his brother, Robert Kennedy, as well as Dr.
02:39Martin Luther King Jr. and other topics of great public interest.
02:44It's all going to be released, Uncle Sam.
02:51And I will direct our military to begin construction of the great Iron Dome missile defense
02:57shield, which will all be made in the USA.
03:05And we will get wokeness the hell out of our military immediately and make it like it used
03:12to be.
03:13The American people have given us their trust, and in return, we're going to give them the
03:19best first day, the biggest first week and the most extraordinary first 100 days of any
03:26presidency in American history.
