Petrol tanker truck burns in Nigeria after deadly blast

A petrol tanker truck burns in Nigeria after it exploded on Saturday, killing at least 86 people rushing to gather fuel, according to emergency services. The truck carrying 60,000 liters (nearly 16,000 gallons) of gasoline exploded after flipping over on a road in the center of the country, authorities said. The blast struck at the Dikko junction on the road linking the federal capital, Abuja, to the northern city of Kaduna.

00:30The tanker drivers, there is what is called enlarged, controlised, flatbed cargo.
00:51The tanker is supposed to be enlarged.
00:56But I think I found out that the tanker carrying the fuel was not properly enlarged.
01:01So when it got to a small port, it fell off.
01:04And when it fell off, scavengers started scooping fuel.
01:08And other tanker came to see if he can transload the fuel.
01:12I think that is what led to the large casualties we are witnessing now.
