00:00Mark, Aaron, special day down at the Albion today, turning everybody back after 16 years,
00:12what's your reaction to the appointment, are you pleased?
00:15I think so yeah, we were just talking about it, I mean Aaron at his age is probably the
00:19best manager that he's seen up here, so to have him back I think has been absolutely
00:23fabulous.
00:25Yeah I mean we went to a semi-final in the FA Cup didn't we, and then a final at Wembley
00:30with the play-offs and we won the league with him so yeah, I'm well happy he's back.
00:35Yeah absolutely, I mean the guy just proved himself what a great coach he is at a particularly
00:42championship level and yeah I think it's going to be a good move, we need him now, we need
00:47someone good at the club.
00:49Nearly chucked yeah, great appointment yeah, best one we could have hoped for I think yeah,
00:54after the bit of confusion, after the foreign coach is supposed to be coming in, but he
00:59knows the club inside out, he'll be more than welcome back, that's why I've come up a bit
01:02early today.
01:04Does the appointment yesterday evoke any specific memories of that time, because it was a glorious
01:09period for Albion?
01:10Being on the pitch.
01:11Yeah it was, it was a glorious time, we don't have too much to shout about as Albion supporters,
01:18but I think they gave three seasons of really, really great football.
01:24Just his quality of football, the style of the team, it's all about attack, attack and
01:31with Carlos to be fair he did a great job, but very defensive minded and you've only
01:38got to look, playing one up front on his own for a long time, it didn't seem to work, well
01:44his goals for statistics prove it, so with Tony coming back I think we're going to see
01:49a different type of football at the Albion.
01:51Yeah the promotion, but the great team we had then, you saw him, Mosler and Gunty, all
01:58out attacking and that's what I think.
02:01I like Cobran, but he did go a bit defensive once we hit the front and Tony's all out attack
02:07hopefully.
02:08And with him coming back, I know some people say don't go back and there's maybe a sentimental
02:13element to it, but do you feel he's the right man to take Albion forward now, how do you
02:18see the future under Mowbray?
02:20I think he is now, I don't necessarily think he was the first choice here, but he's got
02:24the connection to the club and I think we could have done much worse than have Tony come back.
02:29Yeah, I think people wanted a younger manager or a becoming manager, but he brings stability
02:37doesn't he as well, he knows the division.
02:41Yeah, do you feel with the potential in the squad and Mowbray back and what he's done in
02:45the division that they can have a good push at it this year and get in the play-off?
02:49I think he's got the nerve.
02:51Well I've got a good friend who's a Middlesbrough supporter and they love him to bits and they
02:55were saying nobody knows the league like he does and it's absolutely true and he does.
02:59Absolutely, I mean it's taken three weeks and there have been managers available, but
03:06no, we've got the right guy I think to move us forward and get us back in the Premier.
03:11Whether it's this season, I don't know, but definitely within the next season.
03:17Yeah, probably what he's been through might be a bit of a concern, but if he's happy to
03:22come back we're more than happy to welcome it.
03:24Yeah, and I know some people feel that there's more to go in this squad, do you feel like
03:28with Mowbray and when he gets in with the players there's potential to get in the play-off
03:33this season and go up?
03:34I think he'll keep Brunt close to him as well.
03:36You know, he knows it as well as him, he knows.
03:39I'm just a bit concerned with what's happening with Mozza.
03:42You know, Mozza's been on the couch and sort of things.
03:45I know he's involved with Scotland now, but I thought he'd be involved with Brunt and
03:49get him involved, but we'll see.
03:51He's going to bring Venus with him when he's home.
03:53The band back together, the old days back together.
03:55Yeah, yeah.
