00:00The Tamworth Country Music Festival has begun in earnest.
00:06As you can see, the streets have been filling up with people, markets and lots of buskers.
00:11And I've got one I'd like you to meet.
00:14Come with me.
00:15How are you?
00:16Lenny Boss.
00:17How are you going?
00:18I'm good.
00:19How are you doing?
00:20No relation.
00:21That we know.
00:22Lenny, what brought you to Tamworth?
00:23I got dragged here by Brooke and Brooke McClelland and Adam Eckersley.
00:26I was asked to open for their show here, which is really, really exciting.
00:29So it's definitely my first time here.
00:31I've never been here before.
00:32But yeah, it's all happening kind of thing.
00:35Busking on the streets on the side as well?
00:37Filling in my time, definitely.
00:39Have you been a big busker in the past?
00:41Growing up, I did quite a lot of busking.
00:43Not so much these days, but yeah, I love busking.
00:45It's always a good form of getting out and about, meeting new people and stuff like that.
00:49It's a big part of the atmosphere here in Tamworth.
00:52Being here for the first time, being a part of it, what's it like for you?
00:55The atmosphere is absolutely amazing here.
00:57It's great.
00:58It's great.
00:59Just all the talent.
01:00Every 200 metres, you've got someone better playing.
01:02It's good.
01:03Do you feel, of course, you're opening for a big act here, but do you feel it's a great
01:08place for people to be discovered?
01:09Yeah, 100%.
01:10100%.
01:11There's a lot of big names that were discovered here, like Keith Urban and things like that.
01:15I think it's probably the place to be for country music to be discovered, for sure.
01:19What does music and country music mean to you, Lenny?
01:22Country music and music itself means everything to me, basically.
01:25It runs in my family.
01:26My father's actually a professional muso.
01:28My mum was a singer.
01:30My grandfather was actually one of the first comperes of Tamworth in 1963.
01:35Music's my soul.
01:37It's part of my passion and my soul, so I love it.
01:40Well, welcome to Tamworth.
01:41Can you give us a bit of a tune?
01:43I can, yeah.
