00:00Namaskar, I am Dr. Neeraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer, Leelavati Hospital.
00:06On my left-hand side is Dr. Nitin Dange, Chief Neurosurgeon who has operated Mr. Saif Ali Khan.
00:14Our permanent trustee, Mr. Prashant Mehta.
00:17Our two more team of doctors who were present in the operation.
00:22Anesthetist Dr. Nisha Gandhi was there and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain.
00:30Their team was also present.
00:32Now, we have come here today.
00:35We have come to give you today's update.
00:38But one thing which is very important to tell.
00:41When Mr. Saif Ali Khan came to the hospital, I was the doctor who met him in the first hour.
00:49He was bleeding but he walked in like a lion.
00:54And only with his small child, 6-7 year old boy, Taimur, he walked in with so much of this.
01:05He is a real hero that way.
01:07In films, it is okay to act like a hero.
01:11But at home, if someone attacks you, as a hero you have actually acted and you have come out with such a thing.
01:19He is doing presently very well.
01:22His parameters have improved.
01:25He is being shifted from ICU to a special room for him.
01:31Today, we will be keeping visitors in check because we want him to take rest.
01:37Rest details can be shared by Dr. Dange.
01:41Good morning.
01:42So, today's update, we just saw him.
01:45Mr. Saif Ali Khan is doing excellent.
01:48And we made him walk.
01:51He can walk well.
01:52There is no problem.
01:53There is no much pain or any other symptoms.
01:58So, looking at his parameters, his wounds and all the other injuries,
02:04he is safe to be shifted out of the ICU to a special room.
02:09Only thing what we have advised and the dos for him that he has to take rest for some time
02:19because of the wounds on the back especially which can have chances of infection.
02:25And his movements are restricted for a week almost
02:30for the most important reason that he had an injury in the spine
02:35and which has been repaired.
02:36The fluid which was coming out has been repaired
02:39which has a potential chance for infection.
02:42That's why his movements and also the restriction of the movements as well as
02:48visitors' movements are being strictly restricted for his faster recovery.
02:55And he is doing excellent.
02:56And he is recovering very fast.
02:58And God is kind.
02:59He was saved by 2 millimeters.
03:01If the knife had reached more than 2 millimeters,
03:04there could have been an injury in the spinal cord.
03:07He is very, very fortunate.
03:09It's a very deep wound.
03:10But he was saved by just the spinal cord.
03:13He is doing well.
03:14And as I told you, he has behaved very boldly.
03:18With so many injuries, he himself came to the hospital in a walk-in with a small child.
03:24Did he come in an auto?
03:25We saw him coming in a walk-in.
03:28He did not even take the stretcher.
03:29He has come in a walk-in in the hospital.
03:47We are here to update you regarding his medical condition.
03:52Rest of the things, the agencies, whatever has been the protocol,
03:59they are doing their job.
04:01We are here just to update you regarding he is doing excellent.
04:04We are shifting him out from the ICU to the special room.
04:08And that's a good news for all of us.
04:17As you know, Mr. Saif Ali Khan is recovering.
04:20He is doing excellent.
04:28He is a permanent trustee of Leelavati.
04:30As you know, he is doing very well.
04:32The doctors have done a fabulous job.
04:34They are working round the clock.
04:36And they have also immediately got him out of the danger.
04:40And he is recovering well.
04:42And we would just request you just to give him that privacy.
04:45Because he needs to rest and he needs to recover from the wounds.
04:49And he will be out shortly.
