Across 21 different professions, Europeans trust doctors and scientists the most. Meanwhile, politicians are the least trusted, despite a gradual increase since reaching a low in 2018.

00:00Which jobs do people trust the most and the least?
00:08Doctors, scientists and teachers are the most trusted professions.
00:13That's what more than 23,000 adults under the age of 75 across 32 countries think, according to a recent IPSO study.
00:23The Netherlands has the highest group of people among EU countries trusting doctors at 73%, followed by France and Spain at 66%.
00:34Scientists and teachers also saw its highest percentages in Spain and the Netherlands.
00:40On the flip side, politicians, social media influencers and government ministers are the least trusted jobs.
00:47In Poland, only 8% of the interviewees trust politicians.
00:52This is followed by Spain at 10% and Hungary, Italy and Romania all at 11%.
01:00But there's a silver lining. Trust in politicians and ministers has been creeping up since it hit a low in 2018, gaining 6 percentage points since then.
01:11The trust in professions also differs across generations.
01:15Baby boomers trust the police more than millennials – 45% compared to 35%.
01:22Meanwhile, 20% of Gen Z trusts influencers compared to only 9% of baby boomers.
