00:00The government is now starting the excavation of the land in Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City for the Metro Manila Subway Project.

00:07This project is supported by the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

00:11This is Patrick Lesus of PTV in Balitang Pambansan.

00:17The tunnel boring machine was launched in Camp Aguinaldo Station of the Metro Manila Subway Project.

00:22Because of this, the tunnel works for the Contract Package 103 of the so-called Project of the Century will start.

00:29The Contract Package 103 that was launched by Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Company

00:34is a part of the seven Civil Works Contract Packages of the Subway Project.

00:38Camp Aguinaldo and Anonas Station are in the middle of CP 103.

00:42This P21.1 billion Peso contract has a total route length of 6.6 kilometers

00:52with tunnels connecting Quezon City to Pasig City.

00:57We are again deeply grateful to the Government of Japan,

01:02including the JICA, for their unwavering support to this Subway Project.

01:08The AFP expressed its support for the project and they hope that Camp Aguinaldo Station of the Subway Project will be able to help.

01:16For the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Camp Aguinaldo Station means more than enhanced mobility.

01:25It represents strategic advantage.

01:29Our soldiers, our civilian staff, and their families will have increased access to reliable transit,

01:37allowing us to respond with greater speed and efficiency during emergencies.

01:44The partial operation of the Metro Manila Subway Project in 2029,

01:49which has a length of 33 kilometers and 17 stations from Valenzuela to FTI Bicutan in Taguig City.

01:56When completed, half a million passengers will be able to use it.

02:00The right-of-way of the project continues.

02:03In our right-of-way, we will go down as low as 47 meters

02:10because of the terrain and also in order to assuage the fears.

02:24The Mindanao Avenue will be partially closed until 2028

02:30to allow the construction of the old Soray Station of the Metro Manila Subway Project
