00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is returning the 400 million pesos branding budget of the Department of Tourism.
00:08The President explained that he will use it to maintain the momentum of strengthening the international image of the country.
00:15The D.O.T., Kenneth Paciente of PTV, thanked the President for the news of the country.
00:23President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered the Department of Budget and Management to return the 400 million pesos branding budget of the Tourism Department.
00:33That is the President's directive, with his assistance, together with the D.O.T. and Economic Managers of the government.
00:39According to the President, the fund will help strengthen the image of the country in the international stage,
00:45especially now that Filipino artists and athletes have made history because of their hard work.
00:51The budget will also help to increase the skills of Filipino health workers during the pandemic.
00:56The Department of Tourism ordered the President to restore the funding of the branding budget.
01:01If there is not enough funding for campaign projects, it is possible to result in smaller engagements,
01:07less trade and consumer activation opportunities, and lack of global media placements.
01:12The President's office targeted the contingency fund.
01:17The D.O.T. told the President that the country's international visitor receipts amounted to P760 billion in the entire year 2024.
