00:00Hey, we're back and we're live. I can't believe we're just revealed all those secrets. I know
00:06it's crazy. We're just talking about Dan's mullet. It's crazy, right? It's looking good
00:09to happen and I had to connect it with the turtleneck, right? So it's like cold in Nashville.
00:14I've been waking up super early. I don't know why. Today I woke up at 6 a.m. and went for
00:17a run in Radnor and it was just very, very cold. So you got to have something that connects,
00:22you know what I mean? Covers the skin back there. We'll see what happens in the summertime.
00:25Wait, are you usually an early riser? Yeah, I am. I am. I don't usually run
00:30that early. Today's kind of been a busy day. We've been running around and I was like,
00:33if I don't do it first thing in the morning with that coffee buzz, it ain't happening.
00:37When I get back in the afternoon, it starts getting dark already. I'm like,
00:39nah, we'll probably just go watch Wicked again, you know?
00:42Oh my God. How many times have you watched Wicked so far?
00:44Only once, but we rented it last night and we have 48 hours to complete
00:48at least 10 more views. It's unbelievable. Shay, have you watched it?
00:51I have not. You haven't seen it yet?
00:52I've always been a fan. You've got an army of children,
00:53so you don't have a lot of time right now. I'm just so cheap. It's like the $20 rental. I was
00:58like, ah, so we waited for it to go on discount. It's $14.97 right now.
01:01This is good to know because I saw it in the theaters and I'm kind of dying to see it again.
01:05It's so sick. Did you see the musical back in the day?
01:08Yes. Yeah, same.
01:09I'd seen the musical almost ... This is going to sound horrible, but I've seen it four or five
01:14times. I was kind of to the point where I was like, I don't want to go see Wicked anymore.
01:17I was really excited to have a new Wicked experience and be excited about it all over
01:21again. Defying gravity at the end of the movie, I was getting chills. I was like, oh, so sick.
01:26Have you seen the musical? No.
01:28Oh, Shay. I mean, I've heard all the music and stuff
01:31and it's incredible, but I got into theater and musicals pretty late in life. I guess it was
01:36probably back in, what do you think, 2013? No, 2016 maybe the first time when we started going
01:43to ... We obviously had been to New York before, but there was one time I told Dan, I was like,
01:47I've never really been to a musical. I think the very first one that I saw was actually
01:51on Hannah and I's anniversary, we went to watch Hamilton. That was my first one ever.
01:55Oh, absolutely. And I was like-
01:56It's all the way down here. Yeah. Dear Evan Hansen, we watched
01:59Dear Evan Hansen six times when Dan and I were in New York. I had planned to go and watch more,
02:05but then COVID hit. I feel like around ... It wasn't too ... Probably the next year. I think
02:10it was probably actually 2019 whenever I watched ... We were watching Dear Evan Hansen, right?
02:142018, 2019. Maybe, yeah.
02:16And yeah, so I had plans to go see more musicals, but-
02:19Oh, I can't wait for you. I haven't got to.
02:20If I were you, I would just watch Shay watch Wicked.
02:22I honestly ... He's coming over the house this afternoon. We still have a 48 hour window. I was
02:26like- You're going to trap him.
02:27It's three hours though, so you got to really block it out.
02:30Yeah, no. Just tell Hannah, hey, look,
02:31we're doing a lot of work today. We're just watching Wicked.
02:34Market research. So busy.
02:36So busy. So busy.
02:37Well, and I think it's fun too because now we get a whole nother year of Wicked.
02:39For sure. It's coming out this year, right?
02:41November, yeah. How about it?
02:42Oh, really? I did not know that.
02:44Yeah, part two. They're cranking them out.
02:46Dang. I didn't know ... Was there a part two in the musical or is this a new thing?
02:50So it's a first act and a second act, but the first movie is three hours,
02:53and then I think the second movie will be three hours.
02:55So this is already been done. The movie was kind of based on, obviously, the play.
03:02So this is still the story. Yeah, but they added things.
03:04There's more story to it on this, I think. For sure.
03:06I'm excited. There's a lot for me to dig into there.
03:08They were both unreal. Ariana and Cynthia Erivo, ridiculous.
03:12And I'm just loving that they're in the press everywhere, everything they're doing.
03:15The finger hold was pretty incredible. Unreal.
03:17The small ... Everything.
03:19Wait, would you guys ever do or did you do any theater?
03:23No, but I'm a super fan. Before I die, I want to write a musical.
03:27That's amazing. That's a good one to check off the bucket list.
03:30We've got a Grammy, so we've only got three more to get the EGOT.
03:33We can win a Tony somehow. We got nominated for an Emmy doing The Voice.
03:37So we got close, but we didn't quite get there.
03:40I know, but even still, the fact that that could happen is exciting.
03:43And writing a musical, that is ...
03:45And sometimes it happens all at once.
03:47You do make some serious money on a musical.
03:48Oh, for sure. But it's hard. You got to invest 10 or 15 years into it.
03:51We've seen people do it, and then it's on Broadway for a week,
03:55and then it's like, nope, RIP, it's gone.
03:57It is wild. I have a friend who literally for almost 10 years
03:59has been working this two-man show, and I still am like, he's got to get it.
04:03But every once in a while, I don't hear about it for years,
04:05then it pops back up. I'm like, I just can't wait for this to happen.
04:08It will be so amazing. It's grueling.
04:10Musical theater, I have so much respect for it. It's unbelievable.
04:13Yeah, it really is amazing. All right.
04:14Well, I didn't know we were going to talk about musicals so much, but that was fun.
04:17I'd like to double down on it. Let's go ahead,
04:18and let's go back to the history of musicals.
04:21I'd like to ask you some questions.
04:23I was going to be like, so did you guys talk about the song at all, or no?
04:25No, not at all. Not at all.
04:27Wait, how was holidays for you guys? Did you have a good time?
04:29Good rest after a busy year?
04:31It was great, man. Holidays were ... We actually stayed here.
04:34Hannah is very pregnant right now.
04:36I was going to say, do you have a baby?
04:37We have a baby.
04:37Not yet. We will have ... Yeah, we're going in the 20th.
04:42Okay. Oh, God.
04:42So yeah, it's coming very, very soon. But no, the holidays were great. We stayed in Nashville
04:48and just hung out with the family. Her parents came and her sister, and we just hung out.
04:54How are the boys feeling about the coming of the baby? I'm sure the older ones understand.
04:58Abram probably was like, whatever.
05:00Yeah. The two older ones have already went through it with Abram,
05:03and so they know what to expect. Abram doesn't. He's not quite old enough to know
05:07what's going on, but he knows that there's a baby in there. He'll walk up and pet the belly.
05:12But they're really excited. I mean, it's a wild experience.
05:15I'm sure.
05:16Yeah. They're excited, though. We've had a nice little break. We're ready. I feel like
05:20I'm already itching to start writing some music and get back in the studio.
05:24Yeah. I felt the same way getting back after the break. I was like, okay, I'm done. I'm done
05:27being ... I would like to go back to work and have a routine. I also needed to compliment you,
05:31because I was looking at the Christmas card photo that you and Abby posted.
05:35Oh, yeah.
05:35And I would really like to know how. How did you get all four dogs?
05:38How do we get the dogs to look?
05:40Is it Photoshop, or is it ...
05:41No, it's not Photoshop. Insider info, right? We usually take hours, and it's like,
05:45treats, treats. Hey, chief. You're yelling their names, and somebody's snapping photos.
05:50Something always wrong. We were filming a video for our Christmas album that day,
05:53so we had cameras rolling just like this in 8K, and it was rolling for, I don't know,
05:58three minutes, four minutes. So I just got that video, the full resolution of it,
06:02and scrubbed it until there was a perfect screenshot.
06:03You're like, Abby, smile for three minutes.
06:05Exactly. We're just petting the dogs. I was like, just say,
06:08treats, or like, Sadie. Sadie's their best friend, and we got them.
06:11Oh, my God.
06:12It was a rolling camera, though. It was screenshotted from a video.
06:14That's honestly a great call, I feel like.
06:16It's the move.
06:16You might have to add that to how you guys are doing Christmas photos going forward, too.
06:19Yeah, Christmas photos are ... It's tough, because I think that the key is when you're
06:23taking family photos with a bunch of kids, it's like ... I feel like in the moment,
06:27I'm literally thinking, every time we do it, I'm like, there's not one single usable photo
06:32in this entire thing. I was like, there's no chance. There's no chance. And every time
06:35that we do it, there's always a couple that you're like, how did ... When did that happen?
06:39And you try to justify one kid or one dog is looking off or their tongue's out. It's like,
06:43well, that's their personality. It's so cute.
06:45I do think that there is some truth to that, though, when I'm looking back at these pictures,
06:50and we're trying to get all the kids to look. It's always, when I'm looking back,
06:53usually there's a photo where they're doing something crazy. And in the moment, you're like,
06:57gosh, my God, we're trying to smile here. Pay attention. You do have a good photo.
07:01But it is like, when you look back, it is the ... Those are some of the most special ones,
07:05whenever it's just, they're doing something wild. It's like, you got to-
07:08This is more-
07:09Yeah, I appreciate that. You know what I mean?
07:11No, for sure.
07:11It's rare to get everybody perfectly smiling. I'm like, this kid, he's not even two yet. He's not
07:16going to smile.
07:16It's never going to happen. Well, you guys obviously had huge 2024, this big,
07:21massive Heartbreak on the Map tour, being on The Voice, all this stuff going on.
07:24What are you personally and professionally excited about or looking forward to for 2025?
07:30I'm excited to make new music. We haven't made music since we made the Bigger Houses album. And
07:34I feel like that album got us back to the fundamentals and the basics of Dan and Shay,
07:38and appreciating and loving music. I feel like it took that album, us making that album, us
07:44rebuilding our relationship to get to the place where we just love to be in the studio again.
07:48And now it's like, all right, we did it with Bigger Houses. This is awesome. Clean slate,
07:52getting to make new stuff. Country Radio is playing the heck out of the songs. Thank you
07:55for playing Bigger Houses, sitting in the top five right now. But just that opportunity to get
08:00to make music. And I feel like in the past, we've talked about this, but our perspective maybe on it
08:05was like, oh, we have to go make an album. It's like, we get to make an album. That's so sick.
08:10More than 10 years into our career, a lot of bands don't make it 10 years. Most bands don't
08:14make it 10 years. And the fact that there are still people willing to listen, there are still
08:17people willing to have us on the radio, have us at a venue to play a show or to a studio is amazing.
08:23So that opportunity is, I don't know, it's a blessing.
08:26Isn't it crazy what that perspective shift can do for you?
08:30We have to make an album or we get to make an album. Sometimes I have to tell myself,
08:33I'm like, I have to go to this concert. I'm like, no, I get to go to this concert.
08:37And sometimes I think it was COVID, crazy enough that taught us that. Because in the past,
08:42we never had a shock to the system like that, where there was a time in COVID, I was like,
08:46we may never get to go to the studio again. We were making records on my laptop in my house,
08:50which we kind of do anyways. We can't hire a drummer. I got to play the drums on my little
08:56keyboard here. And it was, I think that moment that said, we may never get to do this again,
09:00that made you appreciate it when it came back. And it's like, dang, we get to do this. And we
09:04get to have real people in there, making the music with us. It's a special thing.
09:09Yeah, for sure. What about you, Shay?
09:10No, I couldn't be more excited to get back to writing again. Just like Dan said, I feel like
09:15we have a new appreciation for what we get to do. And I think it's been several years, like Dan
09:21said, through COVID, of kind of having that perspective shift and really just trying to
09:25slow down and appreciate things. And I think we've also grown up a lot as people and our friendship
09:32has gotten closer. All of us have gotten closer. And I think it's that perspective of, man,
09:37life moves really fast. And I think both of us having families really puts that into perspective.
09:43It's just like, over time, you look at old pictures, and it's like, man, that seems like
09:48it was yesterday. I look back on our radio tour pictures, and it's like, man, when did that,
09:53where did those kids go? And I feel like we have a lot of wisdom. We've learned a lot of things,
09:58because we've made a lot of mistakes. And being able to take all of that, and even though sometimes
10:03it can feel a little fleeting, like, man, I feel like we missed a lot of opportunities, or we
10:07should have done this, or we should have done that. Taking all of that, and not to be upset
10:12about that or kind of look back with regrets. I think just taking that, all the things we've
10:18learned and moving forward of like, hey, let's appreciate these moments. And it's like, whether
10:22it's with your family or putting down your phone and being like, hey, I'm going to be present in
10:27this moment. We've tried to bring that into our songwriting and into just our careers in general,
10:32to be like, man, let's really soak this in and not try too hard to control the results of
10:39something. And just to enjoy the process of getting to do this, because if you rush through all those
10:44steps, you just miss it. You miss all of it. And I think we're really focusing on that and trying
10:49to make this record. I'm really excited to get back into the studio, because we're intentionally
10:56giving ourselves the time to be creative and get in the studio and be like, hey, what do we want
11:01to create? And just enjoy that process and just go take that, let that ride take us where it wants
11:07to go and just appreciate and enjoy it. So I'm looking forward to that whole process. And this
11:12is the first time kind of in our entire career that we don't have a full tour on the books and
11:18going out and touring. Yeah, I was going to say, I was excited to hear what you guys have,
11:20like what's coming. Yeah, we're definitely going to, I mean, obviously we love being on the road
11:24and we really enjoyed doing that in 2024. But we had a, it was a really long year of touring in a
11:30good way. But I think this is the first time that we're, we've been like, all right, let's just,
11:34let's take a step back. Let's write the album that we want to make. And so we're prepared,
11:39you know, our fans deserve that, you know, for us to give it everything that we have. And
11:42I'm really excited about this year and really being intentional with just creating the best
11:48album of our career. You know, I feel like it has to be that every time you go into the studio,
11:50you're trying to write your best material, but giving yourself the time and the space to do that
11:54is really important. So I'm excited for that. I'm excited to have a year of getting to do this
12:00again. It's pretty amazing. I know. And it's great. And I always love when I see people get
12:03to the point that you guys are at right now, because you watch so many people go through that
12:06process, like rushing an album and they got to do it. They got to get it done. Like, I want to hear
12:09the art that you make when you've had a little bit of space to breathe and like what really,
12:13like the art that you need to make or what wants to come out of it. You know what I mean?
12:16Yeah, I think that's kind of what happened on Bigger Houses. You know, on this past album,
12:19we had a little bit of time off the road. We finished up our arena tour. We needed a reset.
12:22And I think all that we had been through, the highs and lows caused us to have that moment
12:27where we came back together, we rebuilt our relationship, we rebuilt our friendship. Because
12:32of that, the Bigger Houses album was born. And we had time, you know, but it's like,
12:37I always feel bad when you're a new artist. And we've been through this. It's like, you're on
12:40tour, you're doing 200 dates a year. You know, the song peaks, and it's like, we need another
12:44song. What's up next? And it's like, I love that pace. But also it's that pressure's hard.
12:48Yeah, that's a lot.
12:49And it causes people to force some stuff out that sometimes they wish they maybe didn't.
12:53So I feel like we've got enough time to kind of sit back,
12:56appreciate what Bigger Houses has done for us. But just be re-inspired, you know?
13:01Yeah. Talking about the song, which Dan says is in the top five right now,
13:04what has it meant to you guys to share this song with the world? Because I know how profoundly it
13:10hit me the first time I heard it. And I'm just curious, like, what you hear from fans about
13:14the song?
13:15This has been one of the most reactionary songs we've ever done as far as stories,
13:19you know, that we get to hear. We've had a few of those songs that, you know, obviously,
13:22speechless and from the ground up that people have these incredible journeys with this song
13:27and kind of have gotten to live life and be inspired by that song. And this one in particular,
13:34I feel like is such a message that we all needed to hear. And not just a song. I mean,
13:40it really was a message and kind of a mantra for people to live by. And kind of, it's very rare
13:46that you get to sing a song that is exactly where you're at in your life. And, you know,
13:51we kind of had, you know, from the ground up was very personal. You know, wrote that about
13:54our grandparents and, you know, the love that we wanted to have, you know, with our wives.
13:58And this song is just, it's exactly where we were in our life. Because I feel like we've,
14:03you know, spent a lot of time chasing things, you know, not on purpose, but, you know,
14:08you kind of start going down those tracks and it's really hard to slow down. You know,
14:11you kind of are just on there and, you know, it's hard to enjoy the ride and to look around
14:15and enjoy your surroundings because you're just, you're just going and going. And I think that
14:20realization for us, you know, we had gotten to that place in our lives that we realized that
14:24winning another Grammy or getting another number one or whatever it might be,
14:29when you get to that place where you're chasing more of those things, the bar is ever moving.
14:33You know, it's like, it's with anything else. It's like, you know, you have a dream,
14:36you're in business and you're like, when I make my first million, I'm going to be happy,
14:40you know, and you set these, you know, these things for yourselves and these expectations.
14:45And if you do that and you continue on that path, like it's, it's an ever moving finish line
14:50because you're always going to want to kind of get to that next thing. And, you know, we,
14:55we realized that, you know, in our career of like, man, we just need to step back and appreciate what
14:59we have and enjoy these moments. And that's what the song is about. You know, happiness doesn't
15:03lie in, you know, all of these things that you go chasing, it doesn't live in bigger houses.
15:07And obviously that kind of encapsulates, you know, bigger houses. It's not just about houses,
15:11it's about everything that you chase, everything that you've kind of set your hopes and dreams
15:15in. And it was just in the story behind the song is amazing. But it's just when I first heard that,
15:21it was like, man, I can't wait to sing this song because this is to be able to stand on stage and
15:27to sing a song with conviction is very rare. You know, it's like, you know, we're storytellers,
15:32you know, a lot of the songs that we're singing on stage, like tequila, of course, I've been
15:35through that, but not right now in my life, you know, we're happily married and are, you know,
15:41building families. And it was, it was very emotional, honestly, to be on the road and to,
15:46after hearing all these stories from people to stand there on stage, knowing, you know, Dan and
15:51I's journey with our relationship. And we've been very candid about that. But to stand there on that
15:55stage and to sing that song in particular was just like, it was very moving, you know, for us,
16:00you know, to stand there and just be like, man, all of the song represents, and there's little
16:03things to that, you know, not everybody would know, like the song, you know, written by Andy
16:08Albert and Dan, and then like Dan and Andy lived in a house together whenever we met, like the
16:13night that I met Dan, Andy was there. And the little house that's on our album, it says 507
16:19underneath the door. And that's underneath like the porch. And, you know, a lot of our fans know
16:24this, but that was where we met. And it was just a cool, I don't know, reminder of, you know,
16:29just the entire story. It was a very full circle moment. And to have this song on the radio,
16:33who was written with, you know, where the inspiration come from, and how far we've come
16:37on our journey was just this all encompassing, like, whoa, moment. And it was crazy standing
16:42on stage singing that and, and just hearing the stories from people of, I mean, we had a lot of,
16:47it was never like, hey, I really liked that song. The stories would be like, dear Dan and Shay,
16:52yeah, this, this song has affected me in my life. And I think when you're able to have a song
16:56that truly moves people to change the way that they see their life, that's a very rare and very
17:02special thing. And I know that it changed the way that I perceived my life, you know, and I know it
17:07did that for a lot of people. So to be able to have a song that not just moves, it doesn't just
17:12move people for a moment, it really changes the way that they see everything around their life.
17:17And if we've learned one thing, perspective is everything. You know, it's like not any,
17:21nothing can change in your life. If you change your perspective, you start to see things for
17:25what they really are and the little blessings that are kind of disguised as inconveniences or
17:30whatever it might be. And I don't know, I'm just, I'm really proud of the song and it's just a,
17:33it's incredible to be, you know, on this journey with this song. And now that it's sitting in the
17:38top five is just, I'm super proud of the journey that it's took and the way that it's changed,
17:42not only our lives, but the lives of our, our fans and our families. And I don't know,
17:46it's just amazing. It is a really incredible song. That was beautiful to me. It's like,
17:53you said it to be in the moment where you can sing the song that like means so much to you now,
17:56but to me it's timeless. Like I'm sure that Tim McGraw still is like, it's like a,
18:00he feels it in his heart when he sings live like you were dying, you know what I mean?
18:03Like you'll be singing bigger houses in 20 years and it will still have the same effect that it
18:07does. Cause you always need to be reminded of it. It's not just a, Oh, that's a really nice,
18:11you know, it's, that's, that's a nice song that, you know, I, I, I can relate to from my past.
18:15It's one of those things that you can take with you and kind of hold near and dear to your heart
18:19to remind yourself always of like, Hey, whenever you're feeling low or whatever it might be,
18:23you didn't get that job, you know, promotion or whatever it is. It's like, Hey, you know what,
18:26this is not what's important. And that's, that's what I'm most proud of is it's kind of,
18:30it's an evergreen idea that we all need to continue to, you know, push forward and remind
18:35ourselves of all the time. It really is timeless and beautiful. Thank you. Will this be the last
18:40single off bigger houses? I don't know. I don't know. We might have to turn the mics off and talk
18:44about it. Honestly, I wasn't sure if that was something we would like to go another single
18:48deep off this album. But I love, I'm not really ready to move off of bigger houses. No, no,
18:52let's get it to number one and do the thing. Now bigger houses, this album is so special to us. And
18:57you know, as we've said a million times, but listening to it front to back, we've kind of
19:00been in that space recently. It's like, well, if there was a single three off the album, what is
19:04it? It's like, dang, I don't even know what I would pick. There are a lot of songs that mean
19:08a whole lot to us that like reinvigorated our love for music. And I don't know, I feel like
19:13the chances are possibly high that we will go with another single off this album. I love to hear that
19:18because I, nothing frustrates me more than somebody puts out a great record. And then like,
19:21before they get like two singles in there, like onto the next one, like, but I would love for
19:24that to be on the radio for a year. Like, I want to hear that song more. Thank you for saying that.
19:28I'm going to ask you after, after we get, I don't want to put you on the spot to get your opinion
19:32on what we should go with next, but I would like to know. Okay. Yeah. I'll think about it. Unless
19:36you have one, but you know, we can talk about it out there. You probably need to read it on the
19:39spot. What would you say? Probably have to refresh the tunes. You know, I would definitely have to
19:43go back and give it a listen top to bottom. I also, like, I don't love giving an opinion on
19:46music because whenever someone's like, is this a hit? I, I don't know. And I don't think I've
19:53ever told you guys this. And I say that like my lesson in this was whenever someone asked me what
19:57I think about song, I'm like, you don't want to know my opinion because the first five times I
20:01heard tequila, I didn't get it. That's all right. And I use that as an example because I did get it
20:05after a while, but I use that as like my measure to like remind myself that I have no idea what
20:09a hit is and I shouldn't be spewing out any advice to anybody because like, that's one of my favorite
20:14songs ever. And I love it. And seeing it live is like a religious experience. But like the first
20:18time I was like, yes, like I did. I did not know that it would become what it was. So when someone
20:23asked me what should be the single, I'm like, you don't want my opinion. I feel like that was like
20:26that for a lot of people. It kind of sat in the 50s, 60s on radio. It was it was number two most
20:30added Brothers Osborne shoot me straight was number one most added that week. And it was it just sat
20:35on the chart for a while. We were like, did we make the wrong call coming out with this piano
20:38ballad? And it took a second. But once it got going, like we could feel the passion on the
20:42roads. So that's why we didn't give up on it, you know, and sometimes just takes a little while,
20:46you know, for it to burn in for people to hear the song in the right context in the right state
20:50of mind. And we're glad we stuck with that one. I'm glad you guys with that one, too,
20:53because like, I don't know what the moment was it changed. But I remember seeing you guys do
20:56it live. I can't remember if it was like at the garden or something. But I was just like,
20:59oh, wow, like this is such a powerful song. Yeah, that's great. Music is wild. I mean,
21:05like Dan said, it sometimes takes, you know, this, you know, hearing the right context,
21:09whatever it is. But I think the key to that is like, you know, when we get in, we write,
21:13you have to, we have to have conviction of like, of what we know, we love, because we've heard the
21:19song before anybody else does. We've heard it a million times, you know, and I remember, you know,
21:24that song with that song was speechless with a lot of different songs that we've taken a chance on,
21:28even like from the ground up, like, it's hard to push a ballad, you know, to country radio,
21:32everyone's like, what are you guys doing? We need tempo, we need tempo. And I don't know,
21:37I think that's, it kind of starts there of like, we've got to feel conviction on it. Same with
21:41like, with Bigger Houses. It's like, that's arguably a very slow song to push as no drums,
21:46you know, but it's like, we've, we've seen the passion, we've seen the way that it connects
21:49with people. And those are the metrics that you have to look at the most, where it's like,
21:52you can't get too caught up in like, is it a tempo? Like, I would rather have a song that,
21:57you know, reaches number 10 that people are absolutely getting letters about, you know,
22:02rather than just kind of a bop sometimes that people are like, yeah, I'll allow that to be
22:05played. You know, and there's a, there's a place for those songs as well. I think you need those.
22:10And it's like, you know, you want to go to a show and you want to hear those songs that are
22:14familiar. You know, we've had those songs like, and all to myself where people are like, I love
22:18the song. Everyone knows the song. But I think it's, you know, it's important for us to be
22:22passionate about the songs. And sometimes people don't get it at first. But I think that's, you
22:27know, we knew that we had the, our own data where it's like, all right, we know that this is trying
22:32to, we're playing it for our wives. And you know, sometimes it takes a second, but.
22:35It does. Well, I'm very happy for you guys. I'm excited for you guys to like,
22:38get back in the studio, start writing it and hear like, what's going to be coming.
22:42Thank you so much. So good to see you.
22:44It's so good to see you guys too.
22:45You're killing it. So happy for you. I walked in the elevator and there was a picture of you
22:49standing on stage at a sold out Nissan stadium in front of 65,000 people. I'm like, that's our girl.
22:54We go way back. When I saw that picture, I was like, whoa, that's, that's crazy.
22:58Pretty sick. Happy for you. Thank you. Pictures are wild.
23:01Yeah.
23:01Looking, I feel like you're not able to take some moments and you see pictures of things. You're
23:04like, man, that was nuts. That was, I will say one of the first moments in my life where I felt
23:09confident enough in what I was doing that I was able to stand there on stage and be like, oh,
23:14like, and take it in. There's so many times in my career, I've like run out somewhere like that,
23:17talked and run off and don't get it. But the, I was really proud of myself being present. Like
23:21you said, like I could, I could appreciate it in the moment and feel it.
23:24I think we all have that kind of imposter syndrome is probably like the wrong
23:27word for it. But I think there's a little bit of that in those moments. You almost feel like,
23:30I don't even know like if I deserve to be here in this moment, you know? And so you don't let
23:35yourself kind of soak that in and really enjoy that. But yeah, those, there's been a lot of
23:40those moments in our career. But then I feel like people can tell.
23:42For sure.
23:42Like there's, that's where I feel like the talent, like, like you kind of reach the next level of
23:47like, no, I do deserve to be here. Like people can feel your insecurity. And when you're not
23:51confident being up there, then it just, it like eats you alive almost. So.
23:55Agreed. Agreed. I think we've solved all the problems today.
23:58We've solved all the problems.
23:59So are we watching Wicked or what?
24:01Yeah, let's go.
