00:00Sure, I have a greater good a purpose to carry out positivity and be the change that the people who would like to be
00:11Definitely I've already started it, but I want to make sure that I can carry it to another level. Thank you so much
00:22My name is Chris
00:25My name is Chris Rampersad from Fernando, Tobago
00:29And I am here for well two purposes one is personal which is the spiritual exploration
00:36Because I grew up in Trinidad in a Hindu home and I have studied Indian culture and Indian literature
00:44Very tensely, so I'm very much aware of the legends behind this thing
00:49We have been indoctrinated from from very little but apart from that
00:53I'm also a UNESCO heritage trainer
00:55And this is one of our premium sites of the Indian Diaspora that we got into the intangible cultural heritage lists
01:04What I am doing now is trying to document and map
01:08the the processes of how well I've already done that in my thesis in terms of how we in the
01:14Diaspora have interpreted reinterpreted and adapted these cultural elements
01:20So for me, it's great now to be able to capture and document
01:24audiovisually and for print the actual occurrence of this very very rare
01:31144 year event that happens when the plants are lying and
01:36Certainly it would feed into my education material for UNESCO because we train across the Diaspora
01:42And not just Indian culture, but others who are interested in
01:46India in its heritage and not just as heritage to also
01:51As a tourism heritage tourism initiative how this how we can pivot culture for broader developmental purposes
01:59So I'm very much looking forward to this and I'm so excited at so many levels
