00:00At a young age, it is already difficult to face children who are fighting cancer.
00:13As a support, 17 children with cancer will be supported by the Christmas Cancer Champions Project of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
00:26From wearing colorful clothes and wearing different hair accessories,
00:34it is not hidden that Dang is a fashionista for 6 years in a row.
00:41But behind the colorful clothes, there is a severe trial.
00:46Dang was diagnosed on July 2024 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
00:55He became thin, he lost his appetite, and his bones started to come out.
01:01He was admitted to the hospital and his hair started to fall out.
01:06He was crying because he said,
01:08Mom, Mom, I miss my hair. I miss my hair. Why am I like this?
01:13Then I said, No, it will come back. But don't worry because we are in the process of getting better.
01:20And the Lord will not let you down.
01:22He continues to rely on chemotherapy and blood transfusion.
01:27Dang is one of 17 children who are fighting cancer,

02:35They were helped by the GMA Kapuso Project of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
02:41What is the benefit of the cooked food that Sally sells in her shop?
02:47She is fed by her smiles.
02:50She has no teeth for more than a year.
02:54She can't avoid it.
02:56She is shy.
02:57She just covers her mouth whenever she buys something.
03:01I am a painter.
03:03A lot of people ask me to paint.
03:06I am really shy.
03:07I really have a hard time when I am shy.
03:10She is very thankful that she is one of the beneficiaries of free justice
03:17in the GMA Kapuso Project of the GMA Kapuso Foundation last year.
03:23Now, she is full of confidence in facing her customers
03:28who have been affected by the GMA Kapuso Project.
03:33I have made a lot of friends.
03:35We have more customers than before.

04:48The former comedian, Mura, is known as small but terrible in making people laugh.
04:55But life wasn't easy after he faced many challenges.
05:01We welcomed him and received help
05:04from the GMA Kapuso Foundation in Bicol Region.
05:11From 2003 to 2010,
05:15Mura, or Alan Padua, was in showbiz.
05:22Although he had projects,
05:24his career was slowly fading away
05:27after a car accident in 2010.
05:33He is now struggling to walk.
05:37He had a big casting.
05:39When he fell down,
05:41his feet shrank a little.
05:44Maybe 2 inches.
05:46I was only able to walk.
05:48And in April 2024,
05:50their house was burned down
05:53along with Mura's belongings in Ligao City, Albay.
05:58But Mura slowly recovered
06:01with the help of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
06:07I am so thankful to them.
06:10They gave me hope.
06:12It's so hard when you're not with your loved ones.
06:16While the Relief Operations and GMA Kapuso Foundation was working in Bicol Region
06:22due to the upcoming typhoon,
06:24we visited Mura in Albay.
06:27Together with the Ligao City Health Officer,
06:30we examined Mura's condition and how hard it is for him to walk.
06:34If you have an injury,
06:36even if it's healed,
06:38if you're stressed, cold, or overused,
06:42you will still feel discomfort.
06:45But my father has a cast on his right leg.
06:49He has a cast made of steel.
06:52That's why my father doesn't want to have an operation.
06:55Every month, the parents receive medicine and vitamins
06:59from the City Health Office.
07:01We also gave them groceries and hygiene kits.
07:07He gave me strength
07:10so that I can fulfill my duty here in our family.
07:16If ever I can become an artist again.
