00:05for participating in a scam and for being under surveillance.
00:10This is the operation of the National Bureau of Investigation
00:15in Paranaque City on January 8.
00:19In this operation, the authorities discovered various scripts
00:24for romance or love scams, messaging applications,
00:29bank accounts, and equipment for the cryptocurrency scam
00:33and pecking investment scheme.
00:36Next, a man named Ezequiel Bernales
00:40approached the operatives
00:43and introduced the official interpreter of the foreign suspects.
00:48Here, the two Chinese nationals
00:52were fined P3 million and P600,000
00:59for seducing foreign suspects.
01:02The NBI also conducted an entrapment operation
01:06on January 10 to arrest Bernales and four others
01:11after the salaries were included in the inquest proceeding.
