00:00Globetelecom has denied the arrest of two Chinese nationals involved in the sale of pre-registered SIM cards.
00:08According to the telecommunications company,
00:10the suspects were arrested during the operation of PNP-CIDG in a by-bus operation on January 9.
00:17The suspects obtained 1,700 Globes SIM cards and more than 2,000 TM SIM cards.
00:24The Chinese nationals were charged under Section 11 of the SIM Card Registration Act
00:30where they could be jailed for 6 months to 6 years and fined P100,000 to P300,000.
