00:00My name is Stephanie Hongo, I work under the name Sugar Fox as an artist and I make sculptures
00:25out of trash.
00:32I get the majority of my materials from friends and family.
00:35I don't have to go looking very far, honestly everyone has junk, everyone has junk.
00:40If I ever need materials, pretty much I just need to ask the people that I know.
00:48So the type of art I typically make is animals, almost all animals.
00:52I've done a couple logos, I've done some inanimate objects, I've done some human forms
00:57but for the most part, animals is my main thing and what I prefer to do.
01:06So the mission of my art has changed from the start of doing this.
01:11From the very beginning, the purpose of it was basically to make art from nothing.
01:18I didn't have any money and I wanted to be an artist full time, so that required some
01:23ingenuity.
01:25So trash isn't surplus and it's free, so I started just kind of sculpting with it because
01:31it was there and it's in every available shape, size, color, whatever you can imagine.
01:36But it's evolved since then.
01:39Now the mission is probably just to really make beautiful work from a recyclable source.
01:45It's wonderful that I can keep all of this stuff from ending up in a landfill.
