00:00Manisha Basheer has been playing Taekwondo since the age of 8.
00:04When Manisha first took Taekwondo as a hobby,
00:08Taekwondo is not only a passion in today's history,
00:11but she is also looking for her future in this sport.
00:15And she wants to represent her country in the Olympics.
00:19Manisha Basheer, a 24-year-old Taekwondo player living in Srinagar,
00:23has shown excellent performance in many national and international competitions
00:30and has earned many awards and honors.
00:33On the international level, this female player has had three opportunities to represent her country.
00:39Manisha says,
00:40I was interested in some other game when I was a child,
00:43but I had to choose martial arts on my mother's insistence.
00:46As I played, my interest in this game also increased,
00:50and today Taekwondo has become my future.
00:54Manisha has also completed her NIS from the Sports Authority.
00:59In this, she is the first female Taekwondo player in Kashmir,
01:02whose NIS is also certified.
01:04After completing her graduation,
01:06this talented player has not only continued her strict practice under the supervision of her coach,
01:15but she is also teaching Taekwondo to children in the Indoor Stadium.
01:21So far, she has trained about 200 girls in martial arts,
01:25and has also given training to students in many schools.
01:30Manisha is going to Dubai for the World Ranking Championship in February.
01:35She said,
01:36This championship is very important to me,
01:38and I am working hard for it now.
01:41So that I can show better performance and be successful in making my place in the Olympics.
01:49Now girls in Kashmir are not only turning towards traditional sports,
01:53but are also showing their best performance in these sports,
01:58making the country and the nation proud.
