00:00Another job as well on TV, very high profile, what he says is important, do you listen to the punditry around your games, is that something you pay attention to?
00:15Sometimes, yeah of course, sometimes. Sometimes when I see a game and after a post-match I listen to what they say.
00:26Obviously they can be quite controversial with what they say.
00:31It's a job they do, it's normal. If it's boring, if they say obvious things, people will not pay attention.
00:37But normally I quite agree with what they say, I'm not joking, I quite agree with what the pundits say about the game interpretation.
00:46It's not a big problem for me, I would say. I can agree, I can disagree, but my job is here, their job is there, it's fine.
00:58I say it many times, I don't like to listen to what they say, dedicate another job, don't be a manager.
01:06Managers get paid for many reasons, one of them is to accept what the people say in the good moments and the bad moments,
01:13because most of the time they say always good things, in the last years they always said good things about the team.
01:18So when you lose they say the bad things about the team, but it happens here and everywhere, so it's not a big, big problem.
01:27Hi Pep, Kyle Walker hasn't started a game since the Manchester derby, he's having quite a difficult season, would you say?
01:35Yeah, maybe he's not playing the minutes like he's played in the past.
01:40He's trying to re-cosplay really well, and of course the central defenders and just cosplaying, and I decide for that.
01:50There's talk of a possible move to Saudi Arabia again, but you don't want to lose players this month, do you?
01:55I don't know.
02:00Hi Pep.
02:02Thank you, Richard.
02:03Ladies first.
02:08After the West Ham win, you said part of the problem was too quick a build-up, because you need to do millions of passes,
02:17do you remember saying this, you need to slow down your build-up?
02:20No, the build-up was quicker, I like to drop the opening quicker, but after be slower.
02:26A question related to that is, would you ever consider playing De Bruyne as the number 6 at the Rodri position?
02:32I know he's a very good attacking midfielder because of his brain.
02:35I cannot play there.
02:36Oh really? Is he not good enough technically?
02:39Yeah, but consistently defensively he's not good enough.
02:47Is that a surprise? Such a good footballer, you'd think he'd be able to do that.
02:51I'm nine years with him, I know his attributes better than anyone else.
02:56Of course he can play in some position and drop, but being there and after what you have to do,
03:02I don't want to put this pressure on Kevin.
03:04Kevin has another talent, his energy has to be up front.
03:10Kevin is unbelievably in the final third, and I want him there.
03:15Sometimes I drop from regular passes, of course he can do it.
03:21But being in a position like a typical Holywood midfielder, no.
03:27Solskjaer's results have really picked up since Ryan Giggs has been in the technical area with Karl Robinson.
03:33Do you think all his experiences playing for United and all those games must have helped?
03:39Absolutely. The knowledge has been transmitted generation by generation,
03:44managed by managers of course.
03:46If you manage for the people, you can deliver for the other people.
03:51Of course it happens.
03:53It's not just as a manager, it's my opinion.
03:56I'm open and only managers are open to get information for the other ones.
04:02Going back to punditry, have you ever had that role?
04:05Have you ever been asked to do it on television?
04:07I've been busy.
04:10I've been busy as a manager.
04:13Still I have a job, so maybe when a job is going to help.
04:16I don't think I'm going to do that.
04:19I'm so cautious or concerned to not make a comment that could hurt my colleagues.
04:34I know how difficult our job is, how difficult it is.
04:38I don't want to pretend to be sitting there and see what happens.
04:42It's so unpredictable and many things happen.
04:46I always want to hurt someone.
04:48Delivery sometimes, but I don't want it.
04:50It's to defend my club, not personally.
04:53I always had the feeling of how difficult it is.
04:57I was a football player before and now a manager.
05:00Our business is so complicated.
05:02It's unpredictable and so difficult.
05:04I don't want to hurt my colleagues in a position like that.
05:07Maybe it's going to happen in the future, but honestly, I don't think so.
05:12Just a question on Oscar Bob.
05:14When do you think he'll be back and how much of an impact can he have?
05:18He was so good in pre-season.
05:20In his head.
05:23He's the guy who always says, maybe I've been here.
05:26When he's free here, I don't think...
05:29It's the first long, long injury Oscar had.
05:31But his physicality, I don't think he needs much time to get fit or get ready.
05:37I don't have that feeling.
05:39But it's important.
05:40The last two days, make a partial training session.
05:42It's good news for us.
05:44We saw in a few things his special qualities that he showed us in the pre-season.
05:54Come the second part of the season, and hopefully he can help us.
06:03The players have been able to have some time off this week and the last week with the schedule.
06:08Have you been able to take some time off as well?
06:11Me?
06:12Yeah.
06:14Just because there might be a temptation to work every hour going to try and get the team...
06:19No, we have seven days, I take days off.
06:21It's good for me.
06:22I learned that.
06:23When you have three or four days between games, no, I don't have time off.
06:26But when I have time, four or five days, I take one or two days and I try to disconnect.
06:32Don't see it.
06:33And after, the energy is back.
06:36Everyone needs some time off.
06:37Not just the managers, the players, yourself and all the people.
06:41And to do other things.
06:42I think it's good to come back better.
