00:00For 2025, our focus in tourism will not only be limited to tourism promotions, it will

00:11continue with tourism development and will include tourism investments.

00:17The Department of Tourism has various plans to develop the tourism sector.

00:21In the program Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco stated that their

00:27efforts will not be limited to tourism promotion.

00:30They will also continue to focus on tourism development and tourism investment.

00:34They are working with the private sector to ensure an increase in accommodations and structures

00:40in the Philippines that will cater to foreign tourists.

00:42We are very grateful that the Philippine Hotel Owners Association has committed to work with

00:48us in implementing the Philippine Hotel Infrastructure Strategic Action Plan that we launched to

00:54address the growth in room keys.

00:57Secretary Frasco also emphasized they will continue to prioritize programs that promote

01:02the Filipino culture.

01:04That is through the continuation of our Philippine Experience Programs.

01:08These are heritage, culture, and arts caravans that we brought to 11 regions.

01:14In line with this, they will expand the Philippine Experience Program to all regions in the country.

01:19More tourism rest areas featuring lovely and clean restrooms will also be established.

01:25For our tourists all over the country with 10 constructed, 22 ongoing, and 60 more forthcoming

01:36for various LGUs in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

01:41The DOT plans to set up tourist first aid facilities in several islands to further improve

01:47the travelers' experience.

01:49This year also presents an opportunity for the country to be showcased on the global

01:53stage at the Osaka World Expo 2025.

01:57The Philippines is mounting a pavilion with a theme woven featuring the weaving traditions

02:05and weaving communities of the country and all of the regions of the Philippines and

02:11the highlights of these destinations including the sites, the products, and the like.

02:16Expect the promotion of gastronomy tourism focusing on tourism through delicious food

02:21and beverages.

02:23The Philippines has been awarded the privilege of hosting the Terra Madre Asia Pacific 2025

02:30and this will be held in the city of Bacolod.

02:34There are also plans to increase cruise tourism destinations, enhanced dive tourism, and more.

02:40The department's initiatives also include the development of tourism infrastructure

02:44and other projects.
